The Rabid Badger 2007-03-07 . chapter 7This story is great! Too bad it's discontinued though... |
Mindgames72774 2003-10-19 . chapter 7 very nice so far but are you going to put the rest of the wrecking crew in. i ask because you have ranma's enemies what about the females in ranma's life. you only so far have had the tendo sisters but that two humans and two reploids that are trying to beat sigma and nabiki and kasumi can't do much to help ranma and akane. |
Sunder the Gold 2002-12-15 . chapter 1 Funny. "Zero is a guy!" someone says. So? So is Ranma, and now the only time he's human, SHE's sporting a pair of C-cups. Which is really, really uncool.
Nonetheless, this is a very cool - if really depressing - fic. Dunno how things are gonna work out, though, since as possible Maverick Hunters, Akane and Ranma face several glaring weaknesses Zero and X never had to face.
First - cold water. They would revert to their organic forms, which can't harm a reploid, but can easily be killed by a reploid. Cold water is everywhere and hardly needs the help of a curse to find them if they go Maverick Hunting. Every MM/MMX game has ONE underwater mission, and many Mavericks have ice- or water-based lairs, attacks or weapons.
Second - damage. As reploids, they can sustain a lot of damage before even shutting down, let alone dying, but reverting to human form would kill them. We already saw this problem with Ranma and the stab wound Kuno inflicted on him. Zero and X didn't face this problem - they could safely remain half-scrapped before recieving repairs, and still survive. Evenif Doc Light's capsule still worked, either of them could die if they got slashed getting back to it for a fix-me-up.
Third - support. There exists no Maverick Hunter organization, and most of the human race will be unremittingly hostile. Besides which, none have the technology to effectively repair reploids. Good luck getting a tune-up, let alone a new power-core.
On the plus side, Ranma and Akane DO have their martial skills going for them, skills which X and Zero never had. Also, both have recieved very appropriate forms. Ranma is more suited to keep-away-and-shoot, and Akane has a full-out-frontal-assault attitude. Akane is also actually better than Kuno with a sword, if you've had the opportunity to see the manga where she beats him in a kendo match.
Both practice Anything Goes, a style that stresses adaptability. Ranma might be even better than X at picking up a Maverick's attack and figuring out how to use it and on whom. Akane, too - with the kind of sword techniques Zero gets in X4. |
Kalad 2002-10-30 . chapter 1Well, overall the story is good, but there is one thing that has me Irate, that you had a GIRL become Zero, Zero IS A GUY!!! |
Ranko1 2002-05-23 . chapter 7Woa. This one is good. I'm looking forward for further chapters. It's fun to read, although I don't know the Megaman X series. |
Ryoshu 2002-04-22 . chapter 7great story so far. i really like what you have done with the characters and their development. truly an awesome read. maybe upgrades for both akane and ranma? after all they seem to be the only ones about to take on a whole bunch of bad guys. thanks for sharing and i like the story name "Iron tears". i look forward to reading the next chapter. |
Xavien 2002-04-21 . chapter 5A very cool story you've got going here. I don't know much about Megaman or any of its many sequels, but in this case my lack of knowlege doesn't hinder me much. Good job on that. =)
Also, just wanted to say that I agree with you on the Sonic Anime. I, too, am a big fan, and all I can say in the Anime's favor is that you should try watching it in Japanese, with subtitles if you can find it - the DVD has that, right? I originally watched it in pure Japanese, no subtitles, and aided by a script translation I got off a fansite. When it's in its original language (and not hindered by baaaaaad, whiny voice acting) it's tolerable, and amusing in its own way. ^_^ |
bgrubb 2002-04-21 . chapter 6 This crossover is interesting but I should say a word about Clarke's Three Laws of Robotics they are NOT a part of being a robot because they are part of the programing. The classic example of robots programmed without the Three Laws is Michael Crichton's Westworld. Also later on Clarke robots come up with a ZERO Law of Robotics which within certain restrictions allows them to overrule the other three Laws. |
 J. G. Henry 2002-03-19 . chapter 7 Wow!!! This is one heck of a story. I do not think that I have seen one where Ranma becomes Mega Man/X before. Poor Ranma. Not only does he lose his manhood, he loses part of his humanity or whatever you want to call it as well. Genma deserves whatever you give him if he is not dead already. I like the Ranma/Akane relationship (something that is not seen a lot in Bet fics considering who the original author was). I am wondering how well the rest of the main cast did and whether or not they are still human. Ukyo and Shampoo would make interesting Reploids to say the least. Anyway, I like the story. Please, keep writing. |
Joseph Kellogg 2002-02-13 . chapter 7 I like the new chapter a lot, and I can't wait to see what comes next. |
Makotojs 2002-02-13 . chapter 7OH! I love this story. =) I read this awhile back on the webpage but seeing it continued on fanfiction is cool tool =) I love the idea and your writing is superb. =)Please continue to write more! |
Hunter 2002-02-13 . chapter 5 This is a great fic! Keep it up! But you aren't the first to write one where the character's know about the fusion I've read others such as Fruitloop Troopers fics. |
CRose 2002-02-13 . chapter 7Well this is certainly different, I'm surprised at what you did to Genma though. He really did deserve it though and I felt it was justified, his views on the world have always been set in stone.
I don't understand about the upgrade for Ranma though, when the night before he had decided that there was nothing left in the world to live for. I though Dr. Light would have to track him down and stop him or use Akane to do it.
As for a title...how about 'Merging Fate'? |
Lord Helpme 2002-02-13 . chapter 1 Sorry to burst your bubble, but SKJAM already did a Ranma/Megaman crossover. A long time ago. |
Rogue1615 2002-02-12 . chapter 7 It would be cool if ranma found one of dr. light's lab's. Maybe in Mt. Fuji. With a hologram doc. Now that he is disowned and al. After they find the lab they talk to nabiki and they set up their own team and all. They need to do something. As of right now they are ridicuously outpowered. Maybe the base in Mt. Fuji is and emergency base for light and has all kinds of stuff. Oh well i don't know i just think it will be cool.
