Neat flashback/scene in Mal's life. Loved it!

It's odd...this little look at Mal's childhood on Shadow conveys both Mal's innate honour and nobility through his refusal to retaliate against Nya, BUT it also foreshadows the eventual need when he's grown and fighting for the Independents and captaining Serenity to hit back hard to emphasize why he and his need to be left alone. Or maybe I'm just looking too hard at something that wasn't trying to be complicated ;D
