Reviews for I Heard The World
KelpieandTheHuntress 5/11/13 . chapter 5
I really like this so far! :D Its interesting to see how Suzaku and Lelouch will react when their roles are switched.
Though I am really hoping Lelouch has some kind of super devious plan in store to help Britannia! XD

i do hope you'll return to this story you never even got to the important part. exactly what happened to euphie and the family when lelouch committed treason.
i know restarting a fic you haven't updated in a year and a half is hard but you sort of let it go at a point where every thing was at a cliffhanger.
please i beg you give us some closer.
Miki-chan13 3/29/13 . chapter 8
i got to this story through The eye of the Beholder. i can see why snakeboy33 said this was good.
MistyCoil 3/22/13 . chapter 16
I love the idea . poor Lelouch, I hope Shirley understands him :o
Arct1cfox 1/12/13 . chapter 18
huh nice cliffhanger.
Arct1cfox 1/11/13 . chapter 11
Yes finally Kaguya comes in. Glad they both have crazy eccentric women to make their normal lives hell for fun. Because it just isnt the same without an academy where Lelouch's normal life is crazy.
Arct1cfox 1/10/13 . chapter 8
Hahaha I love that word "evil" go on Suzaku fight hypocrisy with hypocrisy. Though technically everything in CG canon was sorta based on hypocrisy but humans are that way by nature. I just don't like that word "evil" unless it is used in a joke.
Arct1cfox 1/10/13 . chapter 1
so reversed that it makes it interesting.
When 12/10/12 . chapter 18
When is the next chapter's coming? we've been waiting long enought!
Hypothetical Spiritual Entity 11/16/12 . chapter 18
A very nice take on the whole role-switching thing. I hope you'll update soon (or at least eventually).
Halm Vendrella 10/11/12 . chapter 18
Well, that's certainly a tense moment to leave us at. I hope you have occasion to to pick this fic back up at some point, as it is well worth continuing. The Code Geass section doesn't have nearly enough good epics that it can spare one as well-constructed as this.
Halm Vendrella 10/4/12 . chapter 4
Now that I've gotten far enough in that most of the canon characters' new positions in the story are revealed, I can confidently say that you're doing a helluva job constructing this fic. It'd be far too easy to fall back on doing a simple palette swap in a fic like this, but while the characters have had their roles shuffled into familiar stations, you have managed to still make each of them distinct in their new place while remaining recognizable. And there's quite a few twists in the structural difference between the two stories that I'm really enjoying see play out.

I'm not sure why Naoto being alive came as such a surprise, but it certainly makes sense, and it most certainly bodes well for where the fic is going creatively. I'm looking forward to reading on.

There's not much beyond a few typos to complain about structurally (I assume the use of honorifics is a demonstration of the cultural assimilation imposed since the Japanese conquest). The leaning you do on the fourth wall can be jarring from time to time, but does fit the mostly lighthearted tone of the story. And this is a minor quibble, though one I've noticed in reading some of your other fics as well, but it's "Britannia," not "Brittania."

I've just read through this fic, and I'm very pleased to have discovered it. Your writing has a great and clear style, which really gets across the fact that you understand both the source material and your own story to a very respectable degree. All of the story-telling elements and devices are well-conceived and executed, and rather delightful to digest.

I've always been leery of fanfics that play with a palette-swapping of roles (given how often it's simply an exercise in transplanting one or two characters), but I think you've taken the basic reversal and crafted a supremely elegant world around it. Although there are certainly natural parallels in the characters and events with the show's, you nurture them with believable environments and circumstances to produce something entirely original overall-whether it's a different Geass for Lelouch (a change which I find very appropriate, given his backstory and personality here), the visible effects of another upbringing (most notably in Shirley and Kallen, beyond the obvious), or the unforeseen antagonists in the background (Bradley and others), it's quite clear that this is the farthest thing from a simple rehash or remix from the original story. Kudos to your work so far, and good luck on whatever new material you may have in the future!

On another note, I greatly enjoy your opening quotes and myriad references throughout. Also, I've read many of your oneshots, and they likewise display a great deal of skill with the written word, whether in mechanics, character exploration, or play.

Thanks for giving us so many quality stories to read!

I implore you to continue this story. It's beautifully written and does a great job in fleshing out the characters. This story is a wonderful AU of Code Geass and I can't wait to see the next chapter. Keep it up!
