A sweet little one-shot if I ever found one.

I'd imagine Gai that in terms of his view about their relationship - rather discreet, submissive, and all in all serious. We rarely get to see Gai's serious side in fanfiction; most of the time, people write him to be overly hyper who talks about youth all the time - which is painfully out of character for me. You did it justice.

Ah yes, I wouldn't be surprised if this pairing was actually canon; the vague hints are more of a giveaway, if you ask me. ;)

I can't find anything to criticize, really. Most of the prose was balanced, the grammar immaculate, and all the technicalities straightened out. You could, however, delve deeper into Gai's head about this issue, as this story focuses more on Kakashi's point of view. But that's for another one-shot, I suppose. :P

And this, my dear lady, it's so canon that it hurts. Great job. ;D

Fine short story, really.

I especially liked Gai switching his loud persona on and off at will. That was very well observed. And as strange as it sounds, I do believe he would be rather undemonstrative, discreet and quiet about a relationship. I can even see him resigned about his partner's unwillingness to commit, poor man.
