I love this! Soooo well written, such an excellent profile of Sabe. It really would take a tole on you to be someone's handmaiden for such a long time, it makes me understand why in the movies Padme's handmaiden's changed constantly. I adore Sabe's character, and I think you do her justice in each of your stories, but especially in this one. Excellent job!

Very well done! This is an amazing piece, both in the unusual viewpoint (and the resigned bitterness of not being oneself anymore, of being somebody's tool by your own choice) and in the style. If there were more fanficers like you, the world could actually be a better place. Because this makes people think.

Good grief you're good at characterization! I feel like you have Sabe's entire life story in this-tucked away in between words and peeking out at the reader from the little details you carefully write in. You have such a gift for metaphor and language. I'm enraptured. I want to read a sequel to this in which Sabe comes to terms and peace with herself, the chaos... gets some semblance of closure. And, it wouldn't hurt for her to find out Obi-Wan is still alive...?

My God was this ever amazing! I just LOVE! your Sabé how you portray her as a warrior and a noblewoman torn by the guilt of things she could not change. How she's driven by the inevitable need to fight to stand up for what is good because it is all she knows.

I loved too how you portryaed her friendship with Padmé how she (Padmé) was neither kind or sweet queen but a friend nonetheless. How in a sense Padmé's character flaws enabled Sabé to find her own place, to fulfill her destiny.

I loved seeing her as a rebel leader torn between duty and the haunting truth behind her actions. How these men and women both respect and fear her. How she both respects and fears herself and the subtle undertones with Obi-Wan-how he tried to enstill order to her chaos.

Honestly this was such an amazing piece of work. I really do hope that you will write more one shots of Sabé becuase this was just a masterpiece!
