December'sRose 2009-09-13 . chapter 1WHY HAVE MY ALERTS NOT ALERTED ME ABOUT THIS YET?
D:
I can't believe I just realized you wrote this. I would have read it sooner if I had known.
I miss Shemily. And Sheldon. So much. This one-shot was amazing!
“Right. So after our hundredth date, we can tell people at school.”
“You want to go on a hundred dates with me?!”
For the record, I started laughing non-stop for a good minute and a half after reading that. Aw, Sheldon.
"ACT I: DO THE SHELDON SHLEPPER AND TALK WITH YOUR HIPS"
LMAO. Epic win. *dies along with Jo*
I loved the style of this and how you wrote it script/play form without really making it into...script form? Anyway, this was super adorable and totaly awesome. Just the type of fic I needed to read after a day of studying Psychology. :)
Fantastic job, Brandi!

WhenLighteningStrikes 2009-09-02 . chapter 1How do I love thee...let me count the ways...
Oh, this is SO awesome! At heart I'm really a Schlepper of the first order and I *adore* him. I really don't see why he had to go away, except that Daphne has never shown any sort of regard for public opinion in general.
I laughed my way through this, but I can tell by the general style that this must've been very difficult to write, especially since you've put Shakespearean verse to the best use ever! I would definitely not have been able to write something like this—it requires meticulous planning and also an insight into the mind of lesser seen characters.
And I loved how you’ve shown Sheldon’s unrelenting persistence, it’s awesome! And the Gradual Wearing Down of Emily Davis. (And that little mention of Dasey *squee*)
“Yes, my little squirrel.” - ILY (just so you know)
I love the little vignettes which break down Emily’s character into someone more meaningful than the girl whose only aim in life is to be popular. I really liked this part of the storyline, because Emily’s an actual *person* instead of just an extra in the DerekCasey dynamic.
Oh, I adored this. Just a really excellent job! |
Phoenix Satori 2009-08-25 . chapter 1Oh, this is just awesome.
How perfectly absurd it is!
Emily's general beffudlement of the socially-stunted phenomenon that is Sheldon Shlepper and her reluctance to Go Public were hilariously endearing, and Sheldon's glorious habit of being adorably obtuse was just...spot-on.
I particularly enjoyed: '“Ouch! Careful! Shleppers have weak shins!”' and '“Cucumbers are cool. That is a perfectly valid sentiment.”' Shlepper gold, these.
Awesome, awesome, awesome. <3 |
jeytonlover 2009-08-21 . chapter 1This is absolutely amazing! I love the writing style and everything about it.
Though I never paired Sheldon and Emily in any of my stories, I definitely have a soft spot for them!
Loved it! |
EarnedDisillusionment 2009-08-20 . chapter 1After our conversation the other day, I had to read some LWD fics! Lol!
And I loved this! I laughed so much at the hundred dates part! And the cool cucumbers!
Love it!! LLtPM! |
mayfair22 2009-08-20 . chapter 1I absolutely adored your style...It was amazing...and your last couple of lines made me grin like a total ass...and 'little squirrel' That is so so Sheldon...Loved it... |
applepips. 2009-08-20 . chapter 1I loved this. Sheldon and Emily is FTW. And the fact that you wrote this as a Shakepseare play type thing made me keel over in happiness. I love his various attempts to ask her out and how she finally agrees even when he's not asking. And the fact that he calls her his squirrel made me giggle. And I really like how Emily finally see's beyond the whole popularity thing. One of the things I love about Sheldon is how he likes being himself, never mind the fact that he comes of as dorky and annoying and extremely uncool. I still love him though. :)
Great job and I really liked how you started and ended with witty verses. :) |
TangibleChaos 2009-08-19 . chapter 1Very, very cute. Loved the shakespeare in the beginning and the format. Very well done! |
pheobe p. 2009-08-19 . chapter 1Hey! Ya know, I don't even really like Shemily but this was just such a cute story that I really loved it. I always wondered what went on between those two before Emily and Casey had that conversation in the hallway.
This was such a good take on the missing hookup! The series really missed out not giving us this -- it would have been great to see if played out this way.

unoriginal-elizabeth 2009-08-19 . chapter 1YOU WIN! LIKE...EVERYTHING! This is a heartwarming comedy of Shakespearean proportions (I love the verses fore and aft - that's just genius) and it feels that gaping hole where the adorably awkward beginnings of Shemily ought to be in the show. I love it! We have how-they-got-together fic now! I love it! YOU ROCK and I would totally be your internet laundry slave if such a thing were possible! *hearts* |
Invalid Minds 2009-08-19 . chapter 1“Good morning, Miss Davis. You look lovely. Would you be interested in accompanying me to dinner tonight?” “No.”
LMAO, this and all the continuations of it killed me. Awesome.
"And so began the greatest love affair in Sir John Sparrow Thompson High School history. (Second greatest, if you count those crazy stepsibs with all the eye-sex and inappropriate touching.)"
Have you had your daily dose of ILY today?
“Yes, dear.” “Don’t call me dear.” “Yes, my little squirrel.”
We need to make a book: THE REASONS WE LOVE SHELDON. by the lwd fandom.
“I’m serious, Emily. You’re beautiful. And nice, and smart, and you’re a great president. What guy wouldn’t want to date you?”
N'aww, Sheldon.
“Need some ice? I think your head is swelling.” “What? Oh. See, you’re funny, too!”
Sheldon and Emily need to get married and adopt me.
“It’s just your hair. My touching it in no way affects your brain function.” “As a matter of fact, it does.” “I’ll stop.” “Don’t.”
*melts in the cute*
"ACT II: CASEY’S WHINING ABOUT SOMETHING – WHAT ELSE IS NEW?!"
WINWINWINWINWIN.
"ACT I: DO THE SHELDON SHLEPPER AND TALK WITH YOUR HIPS"
*dies*
"Go hence, to have more talk of these strange things,
Some shall be written as fanfic, and some edited into fanvid:
For never was a story of more awkward beginnings,
Than this of Emily and her Sheldon."
Such win.
Why do my reviews wind up so long?
Oh well.
AWESOME.
SO CUTE.

TheBucketWoman 2009-08-18 . chapter 1"Two households, both alike in eccentricity..."
"Where civil cooties make civil hands unclean..."--here's where the squees started.
'“But you’re nice, too, Sheldon. If you didn’t act like such a dork all the time…”
“I like who I am. Why should I have to change myself just to fit in? That’s so superficial.”' Here's where the squee went to some pretty high decibles. Sheldon is a pretty unique guy, at least in the world of high school isn't he? He wants quite desperately to be liked, but still on his own terms. And it actually started to work! Gives dweebs like me hope. :-) |
