Thanks for this update. It's strange to read the story that I know from AC/C, but the words are spoken to different people here. A bit disorienting. Sometimes changing just a small thing has more meaning than changing a lot of things in a big way. Not that Tifa having Geostigma instead of Cloud, and the pregnancy are small things. They are major, and it'll be interesting to see how you bring this home. mc

I read this last night but delayed reviewing until today. I wanted to give this story and chapter time to ripen. As much as I was upset with the last chapter, I'm back to receptive with this one. Not happy, 'cause the situation is very serious, but I'm not ready to abandon ship. Now that my emotions have calmed down, and you've explained things a bit, I remember feeling that things were a bit different than they seemed in the movie when Cloud had his attacks of stigma. I understood, tho didn't agree with his logic, that he might not want to give Tifa more to worry about with his imminent death, but I thought it as much that he didn't want to hurt her or the kids when he had his attacks and wasn't in control. We could see his eyes turning into Sephiroth's eyes, the Remnents eyes. He knew that he was subject to the pull of some force that was not good--it had happened before. I just now thought of something. Can Tifa, with geostigma--the invitation to reunion--be pulled into doing something she would never do?
Anyway, this pregnancy is a serious complication. I don't understand how the baby could survive this beating Loz gives Tifa, X potion or not. I've never been sure how Tifa could survive it.

Good chapter; I loved the turn in the plot. Except for Cloud leaving Tifa. That jerk! hah...anyway...Your author's note at the end scares me. You said you thought it was too early to kill her off YET. Please don't kill her! I love her...
