...If you're going for old!Hikaru my only suggestion is write a slightly more bouncy, non-smoking Kuwabara. No, really, think about it. Kuwabara has a crazy sixth sense, and some of the most amazing insights into the Go world (The "Go needs two people" conversation when Hikaru returns to inform Akira he's playing agin after Sai leaves, for example) and because of his time with Sai, Hikaru probably could have that. And messing with people's minds? Hikaru does that by ACCIDENT, I don't find it that hard to picture him starting to to that on purpose...

I really like how Sai and Hikaru were so into the game that they didn't even notice Akira until after they had counted territory. Shindou's reaction=perfect.

I love that Akira's first reaction to finding out that his rival had been haunted by a Go playing ghost was "WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU LET ME PLAY HIM?!" That cracked me up.

YAY, Touya-sensei gets to meet Sai! That will certainly be an interesting situation.

I like that Akira has decided to join Hikaru in his quest to hurt the Cheating Bastard. (Now officially that guy's name, just so you know.)

Well, this is the afterlife, right? And Hikaru said himself: back in the form he renremembered best. So why shouldn't the same count for his soul?
Besides, Sai was over thousand years old and and sometimes acted like a child. It's a part of the soul and personality, so I don#t think this should be a problem ^^
Which leads me to the point, that I wouldn't say that Sai is younger then Touya-Sensei. Even though I think the soul won't change much when the body dies. He somehow is younger, yes, but at the same time he isn't. It's a complicated situation i guess XD
The moment when Touya calmly asked to help Hikaru beating Sugawara no Akitada was hillarious XD Realy!
Also, it's funny to see how Hikaru and Sai both want the other one to explain things XD Lazy guys *poke* XD

(Mind if I sugesst something? Make it clear, when the scene changes. With a line between the text, for example. It'll help reading without getting confused.)
