SparkedSteel 2009-08-20 . chapter 1Wow. That was...really really sad! D:! I love Russia like this.
"I love you, but you were bad. So now I have to hurt you." That always interests me. c:!
Although I'd like to touch on a couple of things.
The first being 'Ivan-san'. They're European, and don't use Japanese prefixes. :(
And the other thing being: while it was a cute idea to use a prayer book as the entire centerpoint, Soviet teachings disallowed religion, PERIOD. Religious books, even in crylic, were disallowed. (I remember speaking to a few Russians at one point who owned this really REALLY old Russian bible. Made in like, 1880s, or so. But it had to be kept really secret for so long because of the Soviets being against religion. You could get in a LOT of trouble for owning such a book.) A nice example of their opposition to religion, in even Lithuania, is the Hill of Crosses. (You should wiki it- It's basically this hill of...well...crosses. And it got plowed down 3 or so times during Soviet occupation, only for the residents to replace the crosses.)
Anyway! Fantastic story, aside from those two little things. C: Good work! |
