I really wish this would continue just a little bit more just to give it some closure, because it ends abruptly. Something like a timeskip when his son returns to suna and he and gaara visit hina's grave and gaara reflecting back and how things are better bewteen suna and konoha thanks to them putting what's best for their villages before themselves. That would be a nice way to close things off. This story was really well written and I loved the emotion and angst in it. The first night gaara came to sleep with her and put his arm around her while she pretended to sleep was one of the most sweetest things I've read in a gaahina fic, it was just adorable the way it was set up. Wow...I really like this GaaHina. Though it is short, but its simply beautiful reading it! I like how GaaHina's relationship develop in here. Both giving chances to each other and discover something they both wanted and craved since their childhood. Someone to love them back. And I think its really romantic too...

Glad to see Gaara dotes on his son. I'm sure if his child was a daughter, he'd be very heartbroken everytime he sees her. But I guess its fate he has a son and hoped his son would have happiness that he didn't have when he was growing up. But I wonder if the boy knows of his mother? And how will Hiashi treats his grandson?

interesting concept. i wish i could say i liked it but it was just okay.

i would have liked more romance between gaara and hinata, this kind of petered out at the end. i prefer gaara to be more vengeful imho. he's a little too soft for my taste. also i didn't like that you killed hinata. that seemed a little forced and out of nowhere imho. i would rather have seen a story where they fall in love organically and have an actual happy ending, not some forced emotional contrived ending that didn't work as well. also the ending was a little cheesy and didn't fit with the mood. just my humble opinion of course.

please don't take this the wrong way, i've read other stories of yours which i've really enjoyed (what shadows my beloved is one of my favorites), but this was kind of weak. no offense, again, but i had high hopes going into this. 3/5 stars.
