I took me a while to get around to finish reading this, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Tone, style, the ties to the series... Thank you!

I loved the ending, so beautiful! Purdey and Gambit are just perfect for each other, and them being together is just the way it should be :)

"If I knew you any better, I’d be you."

That line still makes me melt, you know.

I love this chapter so much. Partly because you've managed to take a so-so episode and turn it into something hugely significant, but mostly because I love Purdey feeling her way back to Mike.

You do such wondrous things with weaving in bits from the episodes. I really enjoy that.

And I admit I enjoyed the drunk!Gambit, Steed conversation at the beginning of this too.

This is just about breaking my heart! I knew Obsession would be a problem, but poor Mike! And Poor Purdey. Please, tell me things smooth out for them. Yeah, I'm one of those hopeless romantic types... That's why we have fanfic, right? Great story, and it is a different 'format', but I like it. And I especially like how Gambit figured out Larry had made his Purdey, becuase he did, And she did as well--she could have just folded up into herself, but she CHOSE to become strong and self-reliant. Maybe she'll realize that herself. I hope so.

Gah... twists like a knife every time. I think this is the hardest part of the whole thing to read. Absolutely necessary and elegantly done, but GAH!

You already know what I think of this, so I'll just add that it's fun to reread -- and I adore your chapter title!

This first-person voice is so... effective! Wow. And "Gampureed"? Wonderful flashes throughout.

A whole story from Gambit's perspective, I love it! Don't think that's been done before. I absolutely love your whole arc (as you well know :p) but it's really nice to read a story from you that follows a different route altogether. Can't wait for the next chapter :)
