Eleven11 2009-10-24 . chapter 16Hi, thanks for such a well written and enjoyable story. My sister and I especially enjoyed the last few chapters, we were laughing so hard we just about collasped. Do you have any pointers on writing stories? I'm trying to write but it isn't too good at the moment. Thanks |
LadyRainbow 2009-10-20 . chapter 16Just finished this story...
Trip and T'Pol like jumja sticks! Almost wish we could see their reaction to a whole shipment of 'em! LOL
This story's pretty good for a first. I really liked how they lost the Cardassians, and Hoshi's rant in Klingon. :-) And Trip's interaction w/the kids is just precious.
Yeah, Trip (and Archer) do seem a little OOC in places, but overall, the story's enjoyable.
Thanks! |
The Middleman 2009-09-20 . chapter 16Very nice ending. For a first time attempt on a Enterprise story, I think you hit the mark. You certainly got the characters personalities right and I think you got our favorite couple right in a post Xindi AU world. I liked that you didn't use too much angst and the story wasn't overly shippy (not that there is anything wrong with shippy). Now that your finished with it, I think I'm going to download the entire story ad re-read it. I usually like these stories better the second time through.
The last chapter was a bit bittersweet for me. Archer having found someone, only to have to give her up. Pell seemed to have found a father figure in Trip, only to loose that "father" again, and the Bajorans heading out into an uncertain future. On the sweet side we have Trip and his jumja stick heading to T'Pol's quarters, also to an uncertain (but interesting looking) future.
I wish we could have had more insight into T'Pol's thinking when she reacted to Trip at the end of the chapter as her actions seemed to be a complete 180 degree turn from the rest of the story. I also would habe liked to have seen more of their interaction befre we got to the end.
Over all I have to say this story was very well done. It may have been your first Enterprise story, but I hope it's not your last. |
panyasan 2009-09-20 . chapter 16"I believe the correct response would be ‘my ass’,” she replied thoughtfully." This ending got me laughing so hard. |
Alelou 2009-09-20 . chapter 16And you win the award for most excellent use of a piece of candy in a shippy fanfic! Very sweet! |
Honeybee1111 2009-09-20 . chapter 16Aw, that ending sure does warm my TnT loving heart. Good job! |
Blacknblue 2009-09-19 . chapter 16 I love the ending. :) I must admit that I thought Trip was a bit OOC in this one, but he is a slippery devil to write, as I can testify. Overall I liked it a lot. |
Kessi38 2009-09-15 . chapter 14she should call him Trip when they're alone! its cute! |
 Kessi38 2009-09-07 . chapter 10i love how Trip got so mad! |
Honeybee1111 2009-09-07 . chapter 10I'm really intrigued with the Bajoran religion aspect of this story - and how it might fit in with Enterprise - since Enterprise has had its own tangles with religion such as in the episode Chosen Realm - which could color the the responses of everyone, assuming this is post The Expanse. Especially since there are analogs between the Sphere Builders and the Founders.
You might also thrown in an author's note for those readers not familiar with Bajoran culture. Keep going! I am enjoying the story. |
Alelou 2009-09-06 . chapter 10On the plus side, I love how they lost the Cardassians. You do a very nice job with Archer -- he has a very entertaining Captain Aubrey vibe going here.
However, I'm not sure I see Trip reacting this way, especially after those two Cardassians had opened fire. I'd expect HIM to be the one arguing Archer's side of this argument. Frankly, it seems as if he's suddenly playing T'Pol's role. If this is at least partly because he's weighing the cost in her blood of them having taken these steps, that's just not coming across. It's also weird to me that it suddenly turns into a religious debate. In short, the whole argument just doesn't really work for me.
I think I more or less get your AU thing. What's not clear to me is whether the Xindi threat is already in the past or still on the radar. |
The Middleman 2009-09-05 . chapter 8If this is your first Star Trek story, you are doing an excellent job; I am enjoying your work very much. I have to agree with Rigil Kent in that I can’t figure out when this takes place so I’ll consider it AU, post Xindi war. I think you have the characters down pat and I am enjoying the way you are writing Trip & T’Pol’s interactions, exactly they way I wish they were written for the series. I didn’t watch Deep Space 9 so I’m not familiar with the Bajorans or the Cardassians, but the plot development is excellent, so far. Please continue this story and take us (eventually) to a happy ending for our favorite couple. I hope this wont be your only story about Enterprise. |
blacknblue 2009-09-02 . chapter 8 I cant believe that I missed this. Well written, imaginative and very original. I also like the tie in with DS9, since that was my second favorite ST series. Very nicely done. I hope it continues for a long while. |
panyasan 2009-09-02 . chapter 8I realy enjoyed this last chapters and the interaction between Trip and T'Pol was in character, but also pointing out there strongest points, like Trip optimisme and T'Pols wit. Thank you. |
