celticgina 11/2/09 . chapter 20oh this story is so good! I loved the kids bringing him a lamp...and his reaction was so on target... Keep going? |
between the waves 11/2/09 . chapter 20I love getting to see more of Lisbon's family like this- you're great at descriptions so it's a lot like being actually able to see it all happening. I'm not entirely surprised that Jane's nightmares made an appearance here, but I love that they're dealing with them together, and the boys' way of trying to help was really sweet. Definitely something I can see two little boys trying to do for their 'uncle'. :) |
Divinia Serit 11/2/09 . chapter 20Nanu Nanu! Another wonderful chapter. I love the family you've created and their observations about Jane and their sister. It's absolutely wonderful and I love when I get the e-mail update! It makes my day! [Strange role reversal, he finds himself in a three-way discussion with Sam and her sister Jen over pie recipes. Lisbon is discussing guns with Jen's husband Carl, and Sam's father] Best line! It definitely made me smile! Can't wait for the next one! XD |
Cathartes 11/2/09 . chapter 20Nicely done. That's something that's difficult to handle in a Mentalist fic - how to give them any kind of future, without having to resolve the whole Red John arc, which would take up a lot of ink. Plus, I am always excited to see any depictions, anywhere, of women who have fulfilling lives without having to have a baby (pulling myself back from the edge of a feminist rant, there . . .). But it feels right for Lisbon. Where's that End fic you were talking about - any chance it's up already? And I saw you had a Castle quote on your profile - any chance you would write a fic for that? There's not much readership (I write leverage, so I should know what that's like) but heck, I'd read it! |
mwalter1 11/2/09 . chapter 20Awe - that's so sweet of the boys to give Patrick their night light. |
music-and-fairytales 11/2/09 . chapter 20That was so beautiful, my heart actually aches as I read it. You are amazing. I absolutely love it, and there are no words to describe how much. More soon? You have no idea how much this chapter just saved me from my own nightmares. Thankyou. xx |
lisbon69 11/2/09 . chapter 20oh hell... it moved me to tears...hubby was a bit concerned when he found me blubbing in the bedroom over my laptop.. lol...it just got to me... guess it's the meds! lol... great work, yet again... |
Heavensdarkrosechild 11/2/09 . chapter 20AMazing again :) |
yaba 10/31/09 . chapter 19aw i loved that last line. you started the chapter out so sensually and ended it on such a sweet note. i loved the progression. I loved his internal struggle, wondering if he could find a role in this particular environment. I also absolutely loved the description of Niall and his family, very believable. I think the little touches you added regarding Lisbon's past were nicely placed and worked well with Jane's own thoughts about his past. really well written. I like that he's thrust into such a mundane environment but one completely foreign to him, it's really interesting to see how you continue this. it's always a pleasure to read your chapters, i look forward to more :) Yana P.S. would it be too much to petition for the second sex option sometime in the future lol ;) you let the beast out, what can I say |
Arcadya 10/30/09 . chapter 19I really LOVED this. my fav. line was: the gilt flaking off to reveal the cardboard. Awesome. Truly. That was a great image ;) The eldest male Lisbon's family was just so cute... I especially loved the throwaway to Lisbon's control issues that Niall observed. And the plane. Great addition! |
CharmedNightSkye 10/30/09 . chapter 19I absolutely love this chapter. I love how we get to see Patrick try to cope with a normal family. Uncle Patrick, that's just too cute. It's touching how desperately he wants this to work, to get it right. Interesting that the middle child is a priest, I like that little tidbit. Haha, left for another man, well that's one way to put it. Til later readings |
Ebony10 10/30/09 . chapter 19Wow. This story is just so fantastic. Really. I can't even begin to describe how wonderfully written it is and how happy it makes me to read a new chapter. Speaking of a new chapter- this one was lovely and I can't wait for more! |
mwalter1 10/30/09 . chapter 19Awe - sweet to see Jane not as the center of attention and just fitting in. |
