(winces in apology) I'm sorry I haven't been a more faithful reviewer for this one; all I can say is, despite my Nippon-phile-ness, Petra/Sandro and Rico/Jean are my two least favourite teams, simply because I find them the least interesting.

But here goes

1) the identity of the Aruji? Complete surprise to me! In my defense, I can only say that I tended to have a lot of trouble remembering who was who, mostly because I think you had a lot more supporting OC's around the place this time. Also, you did a great job at showing Kokoro as Very Good at being Bad; from what she revealed in her villian monologue, she's actually planned for this very carefully.

2) Am SO GLAD that Jean and Rico made it through this alive (especially considering what's happened to Jean in the manga. Has it been confirmed that he's dead, though? Jean most definitely qualifies as too damn obsessive to die in my book). To be honest, I thought for a few moments that you'd killed Rico off a few chapters back, with the bloody heart on the van; see my earlier confusion about the characters. I was starting to wonder if you were going to kill off a cyborg every part of the trilogy!

3) Before I forget; I'm glad you had Petra actually being useful in this chapter, and Rico's 'I'm sorry' nearly costing her the fight? Both a lovely continity reference (that Petra wouldn't get, though the reader would) and perfectly in character for Rico; Enrico and Kokoro were both her friends.
4) Also I thought it was wonderful that Jean's finally woken up about his treatment of Rico, and that both of them deserve better. Loved the touch where he ASKS her to choose to come back and live. And the quiet 'buongiorno' was perfect in how to show her choice. The symbolism of the sun coming up the dawn of a new day, figeratively as well as literally was a great touch.

Now! On to Russia! (rubs hands in glee) I've been waiting for Triela and Hillshire (and Henrietta and Jose)'s story since... (checks dates) heck, since 2009, I think! Especially given that bite-my-nails intense scene for Triela at the beginning of part 1.

This story seems very strong, with convincing writing and excitement. Great to see Jean opening up; the idea of him using Rico as a listener is very good. I haven't read the whole thing yet, but I'll certainly be on that.

I really enjoyed this chapter, it had a lot of suspense and I can't wait to see what happens to everyone. Its great that you are able to post new chapters so often. Looking forward to the next one.

Excellent chapter, you wrote very well and I liked the part of Osamu helping Jean face his demons and tried to help him see what was really important with his situation with Rico. Hope to see more chapters soon!

Really liked the detail and imagery you described in this chapter with Petra reliving memories from her past(seemed that easy to me anyway). Can't wait to read what happens next.

Two chapters, it must be Christmas! Chapter 11 was a kind of short but both 11 and 12 moved the story along nicely and really held my interest. This whole month has been pretty much non-stop working so I was glad to take a break and get some reading in. Have a great holiday and keep on writing!
