Interesting story so far, I hope that you'll continue it with no more such gaps.

Chapter Four was longer than the others, which I liked. Two and Three were definitely too short, in my opinion. I would like to see a little bit more detail from you. Example, Chapter Two opens up with Fantine sitting against "the tree." I thought to myself, "What tree? Where is she?" This latest chapter shows that you are definitely capable of more detail (also written years later, though, and I'm sure your writing has improved a lot in that time). At any rate, I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this story.

I'd like a little more explanation of how Fantine was able to make the trip; it seems pretty evident in the book that she's neither solvent nor, generally, healthy enough to make the trip. But that's okay. The writing is wonderful. Going to be interested to see how it turns out.
