Loved it! Had me tearing up there for a second, and then the ending. LOL. Al is the most perfect wingman in the world. Dirk is insanely lucky!

i'm working my way throught the series currently (whoo hoo! on #3 finally, after almost two months) and haven't seen the movie, but i LOVE this little oneshot! that ending sounded just like Al! only two books in and he's already my fav character! :)

"What do you mean, I miscounted and there's room for you in teh helicopter?" that is so much like Al, that I'm seriously considering adding this as a favorite!
