I do love the stench of cynicism and upper-twenty-something malaise that permeates this fic...this story has the best banter since lori wrote Paradigm of Uncertainty.

Even after Ron had walked away from them, she had been utterly incapable of returning the favour.

How come Ron always gets away with walking away from people when the going gets tough? Harry forgives him, Hermione forgives him, his family forgives him... oh, I'm looking forward to see him walk away from Pansy. She doesn't suffer from Gryffindor stupidity in forgiving those who don't deserve it.

Ron and Pansy, as you describe them they seem to work. It is sad that the woman with the most going for her, Hermione, has the lowest self esteem. Of course, it is difficult when one is replaced with a bombshell.

I don't think I will continue to read this fic. Hermione should never have to accept someone who, even as a child, wished for her very death for a reason beyond her control. The Hermione in canon would have made and ultimatum: either Pansy does not enter the house or Hermione moves out.

If Hermione really wanted to infuriate Draco and his lot, she should have answered their questions about her computer with, "Oh, it's just a type of Muggle Magic, not something you could understand." !

I continue to love your Ron, Harry, Theo in this, and not sure which is the greater shock when they showed up, Pansy or Snape. The Pansy in this is delightful, as much snark as any Draco or Severus in fic, which makes for a lot of fun.

Ah, now it's getting interesting... I wondered when Snape would figure into this exquisitely written story.
