Interesting view of Hein's character. The way his initially bleak reflections shift into anger and then into despair seemed particularly well-done, and I liked the opening imagery. If it has a fault, it's that it seems a bit casual - the language feels a little too breezy, considering the character and the situation. But that's nit-picking. ^_^
