I love the way you bring us along with these character as they get to know one another. The discussions of their first dates and the establishing of thoughts and feelings. I find it interesting that Bella is so comfortable in her position of 'Facets of you are just parts and pieces that make up the whole of who you are, not a gender, not an identity.' While Leah, who's solely as being a lesbian struggles with her identification.'Despite my desire not to, my eyes watered and I wasn't sure if I was more upset about her father, her display of empathy and compassion for her mother, or for being so god damn selfish that I just wanted her to spend the night and morning with me, anyway."I know you didn't, it's okay.
What really gets me is softness here. I think that's something that's different about women's relationships. Emotions can tend to... not freak men out, but they want to fix tears. I really like Leah's response here.
