Ooh, I really like this plot. Nita's dreams are intriguing, as are those glances she and Kit seem to be sending each other... I hope you'll make the politics dummy-friendly, because I tend to get confused easily. But as long as I get to see some kickassery on Nita's part, then I'm set!

And I thought there will never be a good fanfic for Young Wizards series. You proved me wrong.

Good starting chapter, it spends just enough time with exposition and then transitions nicely into the action right at the end.

The characters aren't too OOC and you do a good job of not overdoing the whole boy/boy talk about girlfriends (which can be overdone but you manage it well).

Overall a good start to a story that is sure to please. I'll have to read more and review more later as now it is time for me to sleep (even though I would love to stay up and read I have stuff to do tomorrow).

So. Love how you got in the part about Nita and Kit going to Tom and Carl's and drinking Coke. Because every time in the actual books, that scene gets me. It just somehow makes everything that much more realistic.

While I adore Nita and Kit, I am madly in love with Dairine and Roshaun. They'll get their fair share of the limelight, yes?

Yay, errantry fic! There are so many things going for this first chapter that I'll just mention the highlights.

First, my favorite quote: "And she had read more difficult things in her time - Shakespeare’s poetry, while wordy, was nothing compared to conjugating verbs in the Speech." Seriously. As an English major, it always irks me when people complain about the difficulty of Shakespeare. Try understanding Milton! Also I am quite in agreement with Nita's assessment of R&J...there are so many better plays out there.

Onto the actual writing/content side, I'm really looking forward to seeing where this is going! I think it's interesting that they're sending wizards so young (how far in the future of the series is this supposed to be?) to deal with a major diplomatic issue, but I'm sure it'll have something to do with their specialties eventually, and I'm looking forward to seeing how that happens.

Also, although it doesn't seem entirely likely that a Nita and Kit young enough to still be living at home would actually be pegged for diplomats, I will suspend disbelief because I love stories of political intrigue, and I hope this is going to be one of those! I'm definitely going along for the ride. :) And in case you care, I wouldn't be averse to a little more of Dairine, Roshaun, and Dairine/Roshaun...will we ever find out how she saved him, or is that being left intentionally vague?
