Well that was disturbing but still captured my interest. I like that you introduced a new character to be the abuser, rather than reusing the same old bad guys. The thought of someone taking a 4 YO and using them that way is so wrong, but sadly, it does happen. The road to recover will be very long and hard (no pun intened). I wonder how you will portray the family interaction during the recovery period. Have you decided to continue the story? It could be very interesting to see where it leads, and how the "usual suspects" play a role.
