Great story! I felt so bad for Kenzan when it was revealed to him what he did in his past life. But what Dino Infinity said was true- the circle of life muct go on, so that all living things can build off one another and become stronger still.

Well, I'm singing Circle of Life after all *shot*

But either way, it's a very nice bit of introspection. I have to admit that I usually skip the part where Kenzan duels Sorano (because, well, Johan), but this is definitely a very plausible way for him to get over his weakness. Yes, he may have eaten other creatures in his previous life, but that's the way life goes. He didn't kill for the pleasure of killing, but to survive. I hope it really went like this for Kenzan. He'd have to vanquish his Darkness somehow, and this is the most plausible way.

I love how your portrayed one of Kenzan's duel spirits in the end! I wonder (and maybe you should have included this), did it change the way Kenzan perceives duel spirits? He often gives Juudai strange looks when he sees him talking to his monsters, but what happens when he begins to talk to his own?

It's just something that struck me during that scene.
