Wow an attraction between T'Quill and Jim, is he genuine or is Jim being a man whore again? Will T'Quill do her Vulcan duty or give it all up for an unreliable human male like Jim?

Gotta love the 'Tribble' line and the mention of Ceti Alpha V! Can't have too many insider name-dropping for my taste.

Kirk being so openly confused is precious, not to mention the anxiety he feels about be 'handled' by a beautiful Vulcan psyc!

I found this whole storyline fascinating. We see the whole Vulcan experience from a different angle. You didn't sugar coat it, Magda and Keval didn't suddenly look into each others eyes and fall madly in love. Magda didn't suddenly become someone else that Keval could love. It was real.

And the relationship with Jimmie was wonderful. Loved every paragraph of this little interlude!

Go Tyback! Love him and was glad you brought him back a couple of chapters back. Wonder what he's going to do. I love that he's not cowed by the council, so what a good marriage can do for a man? LOL!

Love the reference to the sehlat, 'teddy bear with six inch fangs'. LOL! And it's nice that the Spock/ Kirk relationship is moving along...another great chapter!

Your foray into a stream-of-consciousness POV works very well in this chapter-the different memories were surprising (ah, so THAT'S how little Jimmie got his name and why he was gifted-and how sad but true that a fatherless son would grow up to father a fatherless son...) You've proven that you write good Jim Kirk, too-carry on!

This is so well done...and more than a little hard to read. So sad. I feel so bad for all concerned. You've really done such a great job eliciting emotions from the reader, I only aspire to such prose! :)

Interesting chapter, very well executed. I thought the reason there were only 10,0 Vulcans remaining was because as a secular race very few left their planet...but this makes for a very original plot line.

WOW, really intense. I actually feel bad for Zenack and his bond mate. Wonder how this will, or if it will, effect Spock and Nyota and the rest of the crew...

Interesting beginning, looking forward to reading on 8) The way you are building Kirk and Spock's relationship is brilliant, I can just see Spock's attempt at patience.
