It's a good guess, that if a story introduces more than one aspect of magic which isn't present in the books, it's probably over the top. Harriet is a powerful witch. We get it. What do you have to go and add all these Norse, Egyptian and other things to it? They didn't actually add anything new to the story. Also: show, don't tell. This chapter as a whole is just plain boring, because you tell us what happened instead of showing us what happened. |

She is more evil than Voldemort and Dumbledore combined (using a weapon of mass destruction to kill an entire society is evil, no matter what that society has done to you). However in the current context she is sort of a force for good, and sort of a force for awesome. And also this is power!Time traveller done well. |
