Would like to point out that Elendil was father of Isildur (yes, that guy who cut off Sauron's finger, ring etc) and got himself killed in that battle just minutes before. Moreover, it is a masculine name and can't belong to a goddess. Mayhap You meant Yavanna?

Vikki, you made me break my resolution not to read any LotR fanfiction! P A couple minor gripes: Elessar not Elasser, and I think you mean Elbereth not Elendil, cos Elendil's a man. -_-; Anyway, interesting premise and nice writing so far - the Tolkienish bit was maybe a little overdone, but still pretty, though I think your own style suits you better. Even when it does involve minor amounts of Legolas fangirldom. _

I have to disagree on one point: I don't find Tolkien's prose boring at all. And I liked the style of the introduction. ;) This has a good premise...now for the first real chapter! :)
