Definetly an interesting tale you've got going. I'm a bit confused whether it's meant to be an AU or not, but the elements of it definetly spell out 'threads of fate', espeically with the references to destiny.

I love Mint and Maya's personalities here. You've got both of them down quite well, though I did find some scenes to be overly-descriptive. It's almost a bit jarring at how consistant the amount of description is, but using different amounts but keeping it in the same range may be better.

This was beautifully done. I loved it. Even though it was meant to be set at the begining of Mint's game, you've managed to make the plotline flow effortlessly with such lovely details that I couldn't stop reading this. The end really caught me off guard too. _
