Thank you for writing this. I never liked the blasee way the show treated this subject matter. Your ending does the story and characters justice. And Teal'c is just fantastic. You can almost picture the calm and strength he exudes.

I love the fact that the person who finally gets through to him is Teal'c- the person who has caused more suffering in the universe than all of them put together.

Brilliant! Much more realistic than the original ending they had - nobody can just get up and walk away from trauma like that. Hell, when Sam and Dr. Fraiser found Daniel he was basically catatonic! Your writing was beautifully eloquent.

Very nicely done. The team's reactions around Daniel seem so realistic and I loved the way you had Teal'c empathize rather than look down on the victims. Too many fanfictions portray him the other way. And bringing General Hammond in was nice too- after all he was affected as well.

Another wonderful story. Really nice team fic while handling a rough subject. I thought you handled Daniel's memories of his "encounter" with Hathor—the combination of repulsion and drug-induced desire—very believably, and it would be just like Daniel, while dealing with his horror, to think he was at Jack's house to make sure JACK was OK.

Loved the whole scene with Teal'c. With just a few words you showed how Teal'c's quiet support and presence, along with his brilliant stroke of suggesting the game, help pull Daniel back to himself. Oh, and Hammond's scene with Jack, where Jack realizes Hammond is trying to get them all, but especially Daniel, the help they need.

Finally, it was really nice to imagine Hammond sitting in civvies with the others over takeout barbecue. . . .

Amazing story. I've always been bothered by the fact that Daniel supposedly recovered from rape in a couple of hours, so this is a wonderful way to fill the gap the show left.
