The blonde hair, a handbuzzer, her use of the word puddin..."Aunt Haly" sounds like someone very familiar...

It was a good idea to add Dr. Harleen Quinzel into the story this way. If Poison Ivy was going entrust Rose with anyone, it would have been her former accomplice. This could complicate things if "Aunt Haly" is still working for her dear Mr. J, seeing as Rose/Thorn looted one of the Joker's safety houses. If "Aunt Haly" is still Harley Quinn and unaware of Rose's crime sprees, things could get VERY ugly if she found out Rose had done something to her 'puddin.' Or has "Aunt Haly" broken up with the Joker and is now using Rose/Thorn to carry out thefts?

I also have a suggestion for the story, if you like. I once read that Poison Ivy had become sterile upon receiving her powers, and was thus unable to bear any children. If Rose/Thorn is the daughter of Poison Ivy, is it possible she could have been born some other way. Some species of plants have the ability to reproduce by cloning themselves, is it possible that Poison Ivy could have used this ability to have Rose since her powers are plant based?

How much longer until an update?

Great chapter. How will Tom figure out his romatic live? which girl will he choose? Will he try to reform rose?

You still have some work to do. What is going to happen with Jacki? Will she, at some point beconme the next to dawn a costume? What of the confrontation between Tom and Rose?

Great story keep up the good work, this plot has me hooked!

i like the story I am looking forward to the beat down of jakis father...

i think this is the best chapter so far. i can't be easy not having powers when surrounded be those who do. the scene when they flew away and he had to walk. this was great. as kid i grew up cousins who were more wealthy than i was. the things they got and got to do often left me feeling like poor Tom.

but i learned that there's strength in finding my own way and spending time with myself. that aside the kid needs to dumped in a vat of toxic waste, struck by cosmic rays, learn magic, something :)

Excellent chapter. i keep thinking this kid needs some powers, Thomas Wayne Gen Lantern perhaps. or maybe he gets bitten by a radioactive spider...something.

Actually, the pairing of Jimmy and Kara was the subject of a rather well-written "Imaginary Story" from the old Superman comics.

Kara had temporarily lost her powers and the memories of being Supergirl thanks to red kryptonite. She and Jimmy dated (while she was Linda Danvers), and got married -- then she got her powers back. So she tried to court him as Supergirl to get him used to the idea his wife was a superhero. But Jimmy rejected her offer, since while he thought Supergirl was a great lady... he was too in love with Linda to leave her. So she told him that she was Linda; he did faint from the shock, but thought it was a great deal. :)

Haha. Tom has got to have figured that out by now.
As for your pairings-
Flash married Linda Park, an asian tv reporter (Korean, I think?) and had twins.
J'onn married a woman in China, though no name is given to her in JLU.
Supergirl joined the Legion of Superheroes in the future after falling in love with Braniac 5.

I was a little skeptical at first when I saw the summary, but your first chapter was really good and you've got me interested. :D

Pretty good. When Rose introduced herself, I was like "oh, crud." That's a good thing. Nice way to surprise a Batman fanatic.

And I think it's really funny how the girls inherited the superpowers while the boy is just saying "help me." Tom certainly grew up with a sense of chivalry...he'd be dead if he didn't.

I do think you spend a little too much time "telling" and not enough time "showing." For example, you did not have to give us the low-down on *everyone* in the Bat-family in those first few paragraphs...you could have simply waited until Dick, Tim, or Cassandra showed up to tell about their backstory. And, in the second chapter, you didn't have to tell us that Diana is Wonder Woman...you already did so in the first chapter, so that one sentence here was a little redundant.

And, you're going a bit overboard on the low-grade profanity. It's getting to the point that Tom says "freaking" or "**" practically every paragraph, and believe me, it gets annoying.

BUT, constructive criticism aside, you're doing fairly well. I certainly don't think that Tom is a Stu. The dude who told you that need to turn down his testosterone a bit.

I'd like to see a pairing between The Flash and Fire (a Brazilian pyro from the animated series). That would certainly be interesting.
