This one got me thinking: we all come to a point where we seriously dislike our jobs and what they do to us. Most of us, however, don't have life and death hanging in the balance like the profilers do. How strong do you need to be to do what they do?

Hotch was a good fit to tell this story, because out of them all (maybe with the exception of Gideon) he's seen the most and has been affected the most. It was nice for him to realize that they will all become jaded, and that it's worth putting it off for as long as he can.

A brilliant piece of writing :)
