I have no objections to D being a bastard (as mentioned by the two reviewers above). After all, he has to keep his nature in check most of the time; it's only fair that he gets to let off a little steam now and then on victims that he feels no pity or regret for.

I do agree, though, that he is a little too prone to the Dirty Harry routine; making quips while fighting is more Lefthand's style than D's.

But again, it's all in good fun. :)

I enjoyed this. I just felt that D seemed almost too evil, even though he is, but he isn't. I think that this was because he spoke so often, voicing his thoughts, instead of his hand for effect. And I know that you said that you just write for your fancy, so I think that this is great, keep writing and I will read more!

This is pretty good for your first VHD fic nut no matter how much I enjoy reading about D being superior to the rest of the vampire race, you kind of portrayed him as a little too powerful then he actually is in the books and movies.
