Wow... That was..so sad. That hurt me - I felt pain! I didn't cry, but I think I would have felt better if I had. Really, that was probably one of the most angsty things I've ever read. Which is saying something cuz I read a lot of angst.
This scenario has always kinda been head cannon for me. I've always thought that it would either end like this, or they'd just go on forever like in the cartoon. This is... a perfect reflection of what I'd imagined. So powerfully written. "Good job" doesn't even begin to cover it.
