Anonymous 4/2/13 . chapter 7 I seriously cried when they found Reid. I was so incredibly upset. But I'm glad he lived :) |
Motaku1235 3/3/13 . chapter 7AWESOME! And in a weird way I kind of feel sad for Jones. |
Guest 7/2/12 . chapter 7 Brilliantly written and wonderfully engaging. You write like a professional. |
manwathiel elensar 4/12/12 . chapter 7Just found this story and wow, what a story! That was intense! Love your characterisation of Reid. Your writing style is very unique (I must confess, I did get lost in the sea of words from time to time) and I don't think I've ever seen a story written with so much detail without feeling the need to describe every little action. The way you kept the story moving was really quite intriguing. This last chapter, where the team found Reid's 'body' was very cleverly written. I had hoped he was still alive but it really didn't seem possible, but I'm so glad he was! And now I have just discovered you have written a sequel, oh dear, that's another day of my life gone! Really great work :) |
amarx17 4/4/12 . chapter 7Yo. ...Christ. All I can say is well-done. There were a few wonky tense changes occasionally and the odd spelling/grammar mistake, but overall this was excellently written. You could really feel Reid in this, and the predator himself as well. The compelling nature of his love for him, the passion in his 'craft' of sorts. I shouldn't call it that but it's true. This is a phenomenal piece, something that I usually wouldn't read because of trigger issues but am insanely glad I read. I loved the length, the characterisation, the surrounding aura of the words...it's just simply excellent. You did amazing things with this, and now I'm off to read the sequel. (although, is it terrible that I kind of wished that Reid had actually -been- dead? Jesus, I'm fucked up...) Cheers! Marx |
lolyncut 4/1/12 . chapter 2I just started reading this story. Love Reid whump |
JadeScholar 3/17/12 . chapter 7Well, your story managed to drag me out of lurker status and post a review for the first time. I couldn't put it down. Your words are poetic... your unsub haunting, spine-shivering, real. Fascinating. And Reid... Thank you for keeping his strength, his intelligence. So many stories only latch on to his youth, giving him a childlike affect and leaving one to wonder about his role in the team. They seem to leave out his true strength: the power of his mind. You showcased it wonderfully. Too often I loose the picture of him, but with your story I was able to SEE him all the way through to the end. Despite the pain and torment, always returning back to the profile... getting the job done... strong despite adversity... fighting to the end. And I thought it ended in a good, appropriate place. An epilogue would have been difficult. Although I will say I wish there was more. I would love to see you continue with his process of healing... logic and intellect forced to battle against emotion, difficulties with expression, and unconcious reactions. It would be fascinating... Anyway, good job and thank you. I only hope this isn't the last Criminal Minds story you write. |
BillieJoe80fan 2/13/12 . chapter 7Oh Please please please write an epilogue or sequel or SOMETHING! I loved this story so much and your writing is spectacular. |
mshana 10/24/11 . chapter 7Okay, so I thought I should just drop you a short note and let you know that you just RUINED my plans for the day. I was suppose to be studying for my exams; not spend a the whole day reading through your story... I love the way you weaved the flash backs from when Reid was held captive by Tobias Hankel into the story, and I love the work you put into the characterization of the characters. Just like the show I think you spent and appropriate time and effort into explaining the actions of the unsub himself, without ever letting this tip into whitewashing him or excusing the crimes he committed. There are SO many stories out there about Reid getting kidnapped, but this is the best I have read by far, although it was outright painful to work through at times. If you ever feel up for a sequel I promise to give dutiful reviews to any chapter you publish. I still can't get over the fact of how wonderfully you portrayed poor Spencer as a victim, while not making him out as a complete wuss, and I LOVE the fact that he stayed himself the entire time. Now I just really want to know how his progress would continue on from here. Anyways, thanks for the great read! |
KK 7/22/11 . chapter 7 This story is BEGGING for a sequel. I read so many awful stories today, and then I came across yours. Your writing is amazing, and I am heartbroken that you have only written one story. I have to say the parts that were written as entries into the evidence log were absolutely breathtaking. Something about having a scene described so clinically, facts only, made it even more harrowing and provided a foreshadowing that made later scenes that much more suspenseful. Wonderful, wonderful job. Please write again! |
PeculiarMadmoiselle 7/1/11 . chapter 7Hands down the best fan fic I've ever read and one of best stories in general I've read. Please write more! You're so talented. Seriously, right up there with Stephen King. |
omgnotagain 6/20/11 . chapter 4YOU WANT A REVIEW? YOUR A SICK SICK MAN, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO SPENCE. |
bubblesquirt 5/9/11 . chapter 7Ahhh! Where is this epilogue you speak of? I almost didn't read this last chapter because I hated to see it end, but I had to, of course. Such a great ending. I would love to see a follow up story on Reid! Thanks for sharing! |
bubblesquirt 5/9/11 . chapter 6I'm totally in denial about this ending. Yay for Reid getting out alive but boo for no more fics from you! |
bubblesquirt 5/9/11 . chapter 5Another great chapter! |
