And that was an awesomely beautiful ending. You did amazing work with this story.

oh, that's WONDERFUL. i'm slightly horrified that that happened, and at the same time happy that Samantha was made into 7. that sorta makes more sence, the way she was the only girl stitchpunk and how she would be really protective of the twins

I really like this chapter cause I was already getting attached to Sam before I started getting the sneaking suspicion in the last chapter. You did really good making her enough like 7, but not so much that she was given away until the end.

Not that it matters, but the war against the machines takes place sometime in the late 1930's. Judging from the model of the cars, the style of machinery, also if you look closely at one of the newspapers 4 shows them, you can see a year, though the last number I couldn't make out. It also seems to take place in communist Russia, which would also make sense if it was the 30's. Though any amount of years could have passed between that time and when 9 awakes, since the decay on the dead bodies would be minimal due to lack of bacteria.

Anyway, I love the fact that 3 and 4 are made out of a pair of gloves, that's what I always thought, too.
6 seems to be made out of cotton duck, which back then was used for mattress covers and that sort of thing.
