Plunderer01 2009-11-03 . chapter 7Definitely a traitor is she. The perfect circle for Gaz, and I was wondering during the previous chapters if she was gonna get the deep freeze or not. You articulate a very good case for her being there.
And the Cain touch was gold.
(It took me a minute, however I couldn't help but LOL at the Judas chewing gum thing. Ah, memories of high school literature.) |
A.R. 2009-10-31 . chapter 7 What a perfect ending to such an awesome story! (And updated on quite the appropriate date!) You did a great job of making the devil look like a nice guy compared to Gaz. I'll admit I like Gaz, but only because she is the ultimate antagonist. Her presence in the show was what you depicted in your story. She makes Dib's struggle with whatever activity he's doing harder. She makes his character more heroic. (Heck! She hardly deals with Zim and she makes him look like a hero too!) That's why I love this story of yours! (And you gave her what she deserved too!) You really catch the essence of the canon and make your stories more than just another typical fanfic. You should become a professional writer! : D |
Maran Zelde 2009-10-31 . chapter 7The Devil laid out a good case for why Gaz belongs in the Traitor Circle. Everything he said about Battle Dib and Taster of Pork was true. What drives me crazy about Battle Dib is that Gaz didn’t explain to Dib why she was mad at him, or even that she WAS mad at him. Instead she pretended to help him while undercutting him every chance she got. Really, I don’t understand how so many people think she’s badass. Her behavior in that episode was much more weasely than badass. Besides, to me, a badass fights for a cause, for good or bad, not over something as petty as pizza. And beating someone up after they help you isn’t badass, it’s just plain psychotic.
Huh, I never thought I’d write the word “badass” so many times in the same paragraph. I usually don’t curse much, but there doesn’t seem to be a more polite word that has quite the same meaning.
I love this part: “I don't think you're going to be exactly fair with me." "My dear, I am about the only one who has been."
It was obvious to me that Membrane was mostly to blame for Gaz’s humiliation in Taster of Pork. Am I more observant than most people, or is the “fanbase” too quick to blame Dib for everything? (Rhetorical question) |
 Grogie13 2009-10-30 . chapter 7Hahaha! Lurves the last two lines in your A/N. ^w^
Gotta say, this definitely serves Gaz right, and I didn't realize Membrane did all that... huh. I don't often look at those things, and the only thing I figured out was why the taller Irkens get more respect, but that's off-topic.
I'll PM you in a little bit, you're getting a Halloween treat!
~Love~

 Almighty Tallest Angie 2009-10-30 . chapter 7Do a sequel! |
Zim'sMostLoyalServant 2009-10-29 . chapter 7Nice conclusion. It was a good touch to have the Devil point out that Professor Membrane, not Dib, was the cause of the worst stuff to happen to her in "G:TOP". Her reaction to that was pretty good.
And I also liked how in addition to suffering all the punishments along with the Ninth Circle punishment (which I noticed happening throughout the story), you had Gaz stuck forever next to Cain. Very nice touch.
Oh, and the last line was hilarious.
Keep up the good work.

JoeMerl 2009-10-29 . chapter 7Well THAT was a dramatic end! :-D And though I've not read Dante, I knew the middle ring was for traitors, so yeah, I kind of knew Gaz was going to end up here in the end. ;-) I'm confused, was the Devil saying that DIB might wind up in Hell too? I can see how he might need to climb a bit through Purgatory after some of his actions against Zim, but I don't think he ever really gets to the point of his evil...
Anyway, this was interesting...I liked the Devil getting all angry, his little theology lesson was cool, and I thought the comment about Cain was a great off-hand joke, and a clever punishment for Gaz too--it's like she's stuck with someone with all her own bad aspects, but his droning monologue makes me think of the things about Dib that drives her insane! :-D
I have to ask, though--what stories about Gaz have you seen up recently that you didn't like? I must confess I've rarely ever seen stories like the ones you describe, though I'm fairly selective in stories I read so maybe I just manage to dodge all those bullets. *scratches head and shrugs*
Anyway, this story really was great; it was positively funny how you managed to portray Gaz's worst aspects, and the Devil came off so sarcastic through the whole thing that it was just great. Any more stories from you in the near future? ;-D |
Invader Johnny 2009-10-29 . chapter 7Well the ninth circle of hell seemed to be the "perfect" punishment for Gaz, hot damn the devil here acted like the missing guilt emotion Gaz never had.
That was fun, heh.

JoeMerl 2009-10-29 . chapter 6Hmm, an interesting perspective...I've never read the "Inferno," is Geryon also supposed to represent hypocrisy (demonic body, but "puts on a good face," so to speak?)
Only one more chapter to go...I _should_ be doing homework, but what the heck (no pun intended). Onwards to the end I go! |
ngrey651 2009-10-29 . chapter 7Well, what can I say besides "serves her right"? Not much else, I'll tell you that. Honestly, her treatment of her brother in "Gaz, Taster of Pork" really was downright assholey. |
AnimeNymph 2009-10-29 . chapter 7Wow! That was quite a journey Gaz got put through! Great job with the characters and their personalities. As much as I like Invader ZIM for being silly, it is refreshing to think about it from a more serious perspective.
Keep writing! :) |
It's The Krys 2009-10-29 . chapter 7Traitor to one's kin, eh? I had a feeling she'd end up in that circle. The exchange between her and Cain got me all giggly.
Lovely work, I must say! |
Maran Zelde 2009-10-26 . chapter 6Gaz’s hypocrisy is part of the double standard that exists in the IZ “fanbase.” If Gaz or Zim hurts Dib it’s “love,” but if Dib hurts someone he’s a villain. |
Invader Johnny 2009-10-21 . chapter 6Wow, I never saw Gaz as a hypocrite, just plain evil, heh... good thing you pointed out the obvious, damn, it's been a while since I saw the show, heh.
Anyways, good job here!

ngrey651 2009-10-21 . chapter 6I'm sorry to hear that. Really, for people like her, suffering is an equalizer. Once something awful and sick happens to THEM, only THEN do they start to look at other people's views. It ought not to take a trip to Hell in order for a person to understand how cruel they've been towards others, but some people are serious cases, and Gaz is the poster child for such a case if there ever was one. |
