I empathised with Holmes! *doesn't usually- often synmpathises though rarely feels what holmes feels* This was REALLY good... Can I request a sequel if it's not too much bother?

Of course Holmes wouldn't accept the case if Watson couldn't share it with him! Watson has been on almost every case with him since A Study in Scarlet! They go together! You can't have one without the other! And if anybody thinks that they can tell Holmes that Watson can't be in on a case with him had better think again. There is no way that Holmes is going to solve any case without Watson. Not now! Not ever!

This a sweet, sweet story. The test of their devotion to each other and the strength of their friendship was aptly described in this one little scene. And bless Mrs. Hudson's motherly heart for her silent support for both the petulant child in Holmes and the silent stalwart Dr. Watson.

You somehow always manage to paint them boyish. They use adult speech patterns, they bleed with adult stoicism, they forgive what only adults can forgive... and yet, sheer cleanness of their mutual trust is so child-like it almost hurts.
