Good story. I often wonder, given the softer side Midnighter occasionally shows, how he really feels about all the killing he does. The way you depicted his thoughts sounds plausible.

I'm guessing that by now you've seen the last issue of first volume of The Authority, and the first issue of the latest volume. So you've seen that yes, indeed, they do kiss.

Wow. This is so good - perfect length, beautifully written. Can't fault it. Although my head is now full of images of Apollo when he sees Midnighter in leather - after all, the spandex leaves nothing to the imagination. Hmm... ^_^ N

Wow... I like it a lot. Interesting how you had Midnighter thinking about all this in the middle of a fight; somehow I can imagine him really doing that. Cool, cool... and yeah, A&M were shown in a *very* small corner making out in one issue, which was definitely nice, but the half-splash kiss they were supposed to get was axed... *sigh*

No, they did kiss. Check Millar's first issue. They're in the hallway making out as Jack walks to the breifing room.

Really liked this story. Neat seeing the workings of Midnighter's mind.
