Oh, this second chapter was so moving! I couldn't read fast enough to find out what happened!

The passage Serena speaks when she comes home to her sweetheart is so touching! Lovely,lovely job!

And thank you for the happy ending!

I was so glad to see another fairy tale from you, and I've been waiting to find time to sit down and read it!

'She was afraid, but she dared not say no. She sipped his wine, and little by little, the potion gripped her heart, and she fell in love with the magician's son.

So now he was happy, and he took her back to his house to prepare for their wedding. He scarcely noticed that her large eyes had lost a little of their sparkle, and her voice a little of its music, and that her warm skin was a little cooller to the touch. For he loved her, and she was all he wanted.'

This does such a great job setting the stage for the trouble that's likely brewing ahead!

I can't wait to see what happens now that the magician's son has gotten exactly what he asked for!

The whole story was very fairy tale-like. I love how the love of others brought Serena back. Angst is good and all, but even better when it comes with a happy ending! :)

This first chapter is so beautiful in all its heart-breaking-ness! I used to love reading fairy tales when I was little and this captures the feeling of one perfectly! Love the story and the writing :)
