Reviews for You Had Me From Hello
Dimplz 1/15/13 . chapter 20
First of all, you weren't kidding about that M rating! LOL I was fanning myself after every chapter!

As a woman, I would love to have someone as protective as Spock watching over and caring for me!

I loved the story. I have 2 small nitpicks I hope you don't mind me sharing.

First, Nyota's nipples would not be rosy brown. They would be more a more darker chocolate brown, about twice as dark as her complexion. There would be no hint of pink there.

Second, regarding her hair, she would not wash it everyday. African hair needs to stay moisturized and washing the hair frequently makes it dry and brittle. Also, even though Uhura in the movie had long straight hair, for an African woman to achieve such a style, she would have to use a relaxer and/or heat such as a pressing comb (used without the relaxer) or flat/curling iron (can be used with a relaxer). It would take her an hour at the *minimum* to achieve such a style each time she washed her hair, and that style could definitely not be achieved with a comb or brush and hairdryer alone.

Now all of that said, I thought this was a very beautiful story and I enjoyed it fully. I loved your interpretations of the scenes that we saw in the movie. As always, I also love the use of song titles as chapter titles. My favorite song from your title list is For Once In My Life by Stevie Wonder.

So much emotion! Amazing! I'm off to read the next one now. :3
VickyFromGreece 9/22/10 . chapter 20
The most emotional, heart-wrenching scene for me was when she exited her room.

"As she approached her door, she saw the touch place there on the wall, with the control pad above it. She hesitated. Then slowly her hand drifted to the pad, entered the familiar code there, saved it. She could always pretend that he would be there to use it. She touched the pad and stepped into the hall as the door opened."

And Sarek's embrace did not seem un-fitting at all. It is more than justified. And after all in the family all is silence ;-)
VickyFromGreece 9/22/10 . chapter 19
Yes, it is a moving chapter - saying goodbye after ALL that is heart-shattering. I laughed however at Pike's revelation of the truth - the man is no Admiral for nothing! And honestly how many times Spock is left speechless? ;-)
VickyFromGreece 9/22/10 . chapter 18
Now, why that scene was not in the movie, I will never understand!
VickyFromGreece 9/21/10 . chapter 17
That chapter was written in an excellent way, totally fitting with the movie - all the feelings and sentiments are described beautifully. But where you truly lost me was in Spock's walking down the corridors, a haunted image and then his talk with Sarek - that was superb!

At the scene where Spock and Jim argue with Scotty between them, I laughed SO hard and continued for the next week! *That* picture is still on my desktop!

And you are right! When Spock and Jim left to confront Nero, he stood on the same disc his mother would, had she made it! I honestly had not thought of that before. The same way Jim had not thought that perhaps Nyota really is not available...
VickyFromGreece 9/21/10 . chapter 16
When the planet blew up in the movie, I was speechless and thinking "how can they do THAT?" Shocking scene for any fan. Lovely description though.
VickyFromGreece 9/21/10 . chapter 15
When this chapter begun I thought OMG the poor technician! That was just evil! Althought technically he did not hurt him. But knowing where this is heading, that suddenly is of no importance at all...
VickyFromGreece 9/21/10 . chapter 14
Poor sheets and it wasn't even their fault! LOL! And are they now under the spotlight? Caution!
VickyFromGreece 9/21/10 . chapter 13
That... was... alien! The book talk was funny, although with HIS stamina I truly wonder: if he prolong the (ahem) ecstacy, would Nyota be able to walk the next day? LOL! Better without it! The last part is THE perfect example of "two become one".
VickyFromGreece 9/21/10 . chapter 12
The "compensation" has super! Nyota must eventually realise that Spock takes everything literally! LOL! "If we are ordered to stay in the same suite, I do not see how any one could possibly blame us for what we are definitely going to do". You gotta love Vulcan logic!
VickyFromGreece 9/21/10 . chapter 11
"Being ill is not comfortable" It most certainly is! Three cheers for Leonard "Bones" McCoy who saved the day and Spock's ss! Hip Hip Hurrah!
VickyFromGreece 9/21/10 . chapter 10
I believe that's the first time Spock's possessive nature is so clear and obvious. And it's also the first time to "sweet-talk" her in Vulcan, yes? Nyota will learn many colourful expressions here!
VickyFromGreece 9/21/10 . chapter 9
So, does that mean that Spock owns Jim a favor? LOL! Nay, I don't think so!
