What a second part? heheh goody! I enjoyed the first one but this ones is a little better. Maybe because of the fluffiness of Bruce and Diana added to it! ;)

Great first chapter! I've never read the original, but I like it.

It's kind of cool to see from a different view point how everyone's upset with Clark because, let's face it, basically no one's EVER mad at Superman.

Can't wait for the next chapter so I hope you can do that soon.

As always me dear chica you have done a stellar job, but why did you feel the need to go back and redo it? Well at any rate nicely done... again! :)

It certainly made for a more serious turn with the implication that Jason is apparently Clark's son even though at first glance the boy is not very healthy. However he suddenly shows a burst of strength to hurl a piano at the guy attacking his mother. He also appears affected by Kryptonite, which is what Luthor suspected when he asks who is the father. Lois insists its Richard, but no way to know for sure is there Lois?

As for Bruce and Diana being the way they are towards him well it certainly fits in a lesser way to the way that Lois treats Superman's reappearance. Clark's reappearance isn't taken as badly by Lois, which again implies that Lois is apparently not making the link (at least the Returns version of Lois).

In this case, its a relationship reversal where Bruce has someone steady and Clark is the one on the outside.

Clark and Superman will just have to start over because he was the one that left then came back. Unlike Bruce or Diana, he was cut off from his birth origins. He had adopted parents yes, but Bruce even for a short time had his parents and Diana had her mother. At any rate there's a substantial psychological context for the three of them or rather the four if you include Lois.

Diana can go back to Themyscira, Bruce can go back to Gotham, Lois has a house outside Metropolis, and Clark while having a farmhouse in Smallville... he still however lacks the birthplace... Krypton.

He went without it all his life, sure he had people and places to fill the same role, but its not exactly the same. He was never really of Earth like they were so of course they hold him by human standards and so does he... he realizes he can't get his old life back so now he'll be coming to Earth for a 'second' time.
