I adore the theme of the fugue - Vaughn waits for the point when he and Syd are no longer moving in opposition to one another, but rather are united together to sing the same theme.

I'm at a loss for words for this one. It has the feel of true and classic art and is very bittersweet. It's a perfect read, but I really don't know what more to say about it. The feelings conveyed ring very true and the characters seem real. One surprise for me: the *male* voice on the other end of Vaughn's phone call. I thought it had been Syd answering the phone. ;-)

Wow. Just... wow. I wish I could be more articulate upon the completion of this passionate, bittersweet, artful vignette, but I fear words have left me. Obviously, though, you don't have the same problem; this was easily the best Alias fanfic I've read so far, and I've scoured the net. I loved loved LOVED the theme, the fugue and the Bach reference. Masterful metaphor and first-rate work. I salute you. (Of course, it didn't hurt that it was a S/V shippy fic, and if you wouldn't mind digging up a few more where that one came from you'd have quite a grateful fan... nudge nudge wink.)

YAY! Labyrinthe did a (semi) Syd/Vaughn fic! This one was definitely different than all the other S/V's out there; it was sweet, angsty...and i don't know if it's just me, but i also got this weird undertone of creepiness to it too. Esp during the dream thing...
