I have really enjoyed both the suspense and the personal relationships in this story.

Wow! With all those shots fired, I hope at least one of them hit Terhune. Barek seemed to have the best shot at him. I hope Bobby was not caught in the crossfire. If these two goons are not dead, they are really stupid if they are still standing there. I can't believe Terhune was going to kill Nate too. What an evil piece of slime! I was so glad that Bobby realized how much Alex needs him to stay alive. That is a much better frame of mind than the one that tells him he is not worth it, and his death would not mean anything. I know his goal is to rescue Nate, but there is nothing wrong with a good strong self-preservation mind set too. Terhune is a weird duck. He does not want to ruin the reputation of two good, honest agents, he hates that a "good" cop is going to get killed, but he moves mountains to get it done. This wife of his must be something fantastic to do all this to keep her from crying over her darling son. I wonder how she is going to feel about her darling husband getting killed or going to jail. I am glad Nate is unharmed. Please rescue both Nate and Bobby.

It'd be great to see that all of Terhune's little schemes and deceptions get exposed at the end of this, and if Gage is involved - that's brought up too. [Of course, he may have been a red herring as well.]

Okay, there are two favorites in this chapter for me. The first one is that Terhune actually called Bobby a "good cop". It's nice to know, that he knows he's doing something wrong for the wrong reasons but he knows he it; knows that it's wrong. But he still does it out of loyalty to his family (i suppose).

The second favorite is that Bobby decided to come out of this alive. I hope he can convince you to go with it too ;) Because I'm still hoping he will get out of this with nothing fatal (although a little non-fatal gunshot wound while protecting Nate... I could deal with that ;))
Great work in the last part, where you played out the same scene several times from different pov's. That was really great to read because you got another piece of information in all of them.

arghh! i hope nathan and bobby are ok! i am very glad that bobby is trying to stay alive for alex's sake, even though it is secondary, and rightly so, to saving nathan. terhune is absolutely ruthless, isn't he? he deserves to live through this and be executed for the terrible things he has done, but i fear that if he lives, he might find a way to get off somehow. i hope not!

this chapter is so full of emotion. i want to cry with alex as i feel the dread and despair building up. i am hoping for a happy ending, but i definitely feel the sense of inevitability that is engulfing bobby and alex here. i am so glad that she is accepting what has to be done, even though she doesn't like it. bobby needs that to keep himself strong. i'm glad the next chapter is up, so i can see what happens right away!

Wow. That was quick! This was very good. Hope that Terhune guy gets it in the end, and I hope Bobby is the one to give it to him. And I want the guy to know that it is Bobby who is the winner in the end. (Don't want much, do I?) Anxious to know exactly what is going on in the warehouse.
