I really really enjoyed this story. Not too complicated, but it said a lot about war, the reactions to tragedy, loyalty etc. I just love your writing. Still trying to think of a good Newkirk missing scene for you! LOL>

I must say this story is perhaps one of my favorite's that you have written, very good! I felt so bad for poor Newkirk, but I love the ending! :) I must admit I have read this story several times!

That was a sweet ending. It was really nice to see Fritz bond with Newkirk in the end. I do feel bad for Fritz because of Hans but I think he will make it alright in Switzerland.

It's over? *Sob*. So, things are finally back to normal with the guys.I loved the scene with Fritz and his saying he wished Newkirk instead of Hans.With Carter around, Newkirk doesn't need a little brother. LOL. Hopefully he and Newkirk will meet again after the war. It would be nice. And what about Hans? He's still out there somewhere. Do I smell a sequel perhaps? Aw, what a great ending! I'm sure Fritz was scared about leaving, but he'll be much better off. And I thought it was touching that Fritz wished Newkirk was his brother. Of course, Newkirk probably doesn't need a younger brother with Carter around! LOL And thank goodness everything's back to normal at the stalag. Wonderful story! Thanks for posting it!

Silly me, I thought that Newkirk would be fine when he got back to Stalag 13. I love this story and will be sorry to see it end.

At least Newkirk is on the mend finally. But with Hans still being out there could there possibly be a sequel somewhere? Hans is a frightening individual. And by now I hope Fritz is on his way to England or soon will be. So, one more chapter, huh? Sorry to see it end, but can't wait until your next one. Great story!

Oh, man, what a horrible dream Newkirk had! I hope he doesn't have another one like that, either. I liked the scene with Carter and the tea; and the part with Newkirk's hair...ROTFL! I'm glad they filled Newkirk in on what he'd missed, and that his quick thinking about giving a false name saved them from getting nabbed by the Gestapo. I'm sorry to see there's only one chapter left, but I'm eagerly looking forward to reading it, as well as whatever you have planned next!

It's nice to see that Newkirk is slowly getting better after his ordeal, with the others help of course.

I am looking forward to seeing how this will all end but also sad to hear the story is almost over. But I guess I have your next story to look forward to. Although with Hans still out there I wonder if there is any chance for a sequel.
