 Thunderstorm101 2009-11-15 . chapter 2It sounds like Mr. White's after Danny.
I have no idea about cars...not good with that sort of thing. |
dizappearingirl 2009-11-13 . chapter 2Oh...so is this Mr. White related to those men in black from chapter one? Is he in charge of those guys after Danny?! I mean isn't Danny... (goes and checks) yeah, he's headed to Bologna and M just said that Mr. White was in that area, so connection!?
This makes me want to watch all the 007 movies so I can be more familiar with James Bond's story. I know the basics but not all the details...Mr. White, Haines, Mitchell...it all sounds vaguely familiar...
Anyways, I love how you describe Bond and M's relationship through their conversation. Plus, I felt that even though I should brush up on my 007 knowledge I wasn't lost. You gave us the background we need subtly and well (much like you have done for the past two crossovers too!)
I'm excited to see where this goes! And who the Catt is!

 Tempestas Umbra 2009-11-13 . chapter 2Kazi Points!
For the record, I don't really know that much about James Bond. Therefore, I don't know who Mr. White is or what he could be possibly looking for in Italy. Maybe he is after Sam as well? (wild guess, lol) But I'm gonna say there is money involved. Somehow.
Car? Linea murcielago. It looks cool. Dunno how practical it would be, but it looks cool. ^^
Time? About 2.5 hours with no stops.
Keep updating!I love it!

 Shadeslayer35 2009-11-13 . chapter 21. Aston Martin of course. It's bond's classic car.
2. 5 hours and 5 minutes.
3. I'm saying... DANNY PHANTOM! |
truephan 2009-11-13 . chapter 2DZD: YAY! You've updated! I'm so happy...and I see that you've weaved in a special reference already, which just THRILLS me to death! I can't wait for more.
I absolutely LOVED the banter between "M" and Bond. I just love when smug men get their come-uppance, especially when it comes from a woman!! And, so as anyone out there thinks I'm a chauvinist, I equally herald a "touche'" to the man who zings a smarthy woman with his dry wit. In fact, one of my favorite examples of that is that is when the famous dancer, Isadora Duncan, gave playwright Bernard Shaw a literal proposition. She was very beautiful and also a bit vain. Shaw, however, though intelligent, knew he was a man who possessed no fetching looks. Isadora Duncan really admired his intellect and told him so. Then she proposed that it would be wonderful for them to make a baby that would have her perfect physique and his intellect. Mr. Shaw then counter proposed, saying that though that may be true, there was always a possibility that the child would have his homely body and her intellect. Needless to say, they didn't have that child.
In any case, would love for you to update soon. GREAT job! truephan |
dizappearingirl 2009-11-03 . chapter 1Oh Obsidian, being sassy and unhelpful! Then again I bet being the size (and shape) of an Ipod can hardly be considered comfortable so I can understand.
Danny's gut does always seem to lead him into trouble (sighs) but he also makes some great friends along the way, yes? SO as long as he keeps coming out on top (Johnny's words are still echoing in my head...) I think listening to his gut is a good thing.
Men in black, men in black... Hum hum...well this is a James Bond crossover so I can't help but think spies and such. Then again why are they after him? Mercenaries then? People on the alert (from Vlad) for Danny? Or is it something completely different and Danny is just accidentally caught up into it? Well, that's probably unlikely.
Guess we'll see yes?

 Thunderstorm101 2009-10-05 . chapter 1Men in black...mafia?
I'm not going to go after the other questions...I don't feel like futzing with maps...
I'm so glad this is up! I've been looking forward to it (not that I'm familiar James Bond, but that doesn't matter, really, this series rocks!). |
truephan 2009-10-03 . chapter 1DZD: A very good start, even with haunting holes from the preceding story. Full of action and a forbodding sense abounds it. Great job with that. As far as the questions, are you kidding? But I'm game, so here are my answers:
1. Villamarzana lat 45deg 1' o N long 11 deg 40' 60 E
Ferrara 44 deg 50' N 11deg 37' E
Lanciano 14 deg 23' O N 42 deg 14' 0 E
2. 600 km
3. rough guess 1600 km
4. Guys in White, European-style. Probably some bad spy guys, and maybe even the organization that Bond works for (which I don't know the name of and am NOT interested in knowing the name of)
I much rather read more of the story than answer these questions. But, looks like I got suckered into them anyways! Good job of that, DZD! truephan |
anon. 2009-09-29 . chapter 1 have i told you lately how awesome you are? i'm always jealous of your talent. your skill with imagery and characterization and the rest is amazing. i mean, the first paragraph alone already had me hooked. you know where to draw the line, enough to give a creative and detail description without becomeing boring and overly worded. a rare thing, not often found on ffn. anyway, i'm going to weap up here and be on my way. can't wait for the next chapter. later. |
