BabalooBlue 12/5/12 . chapter 23I just read this in one sitting, more or less, right after A Gentle Knock. Great story! |
OldSFfan 7/25/12 . chapter 23Grand and grim story. Great job. Write some more! |
siddigfan 2/17/12 . chapter 5"Jacey leaned back, resting her elbows on the arms of the overstuffed chair, and pressing the tips of her fingers together. Watching the two of them battle it out as they struggled to reclaim their lives and their sanity was like watching supreme athletes at workâthis was the World Series or Wimbledon of her profession" I really needed to hear that for some strange reason. I've been recovering from a brain injury that's left me with over four years of amnesia and a whole new life on disability to sort out. Watching House on TV has been one of my biggest helps as I can really identify with him in his pain and despair and rooting for him as I root for myself. You may never see this comment as I am aware that your story was written in 2010 and this is 2012. Still, I want you to know somehow that this has helped me, the detail, the reality of it; It's more real than you may even know. This ContractVerse that I have only just discovered today is going to be a big help to me as House and I struggle together to get well. Thank you for writing this! :-) |
pisces317 1/19/11 . chapter 20I really liked this story! I think you should add another chapter or two though. :) |
ixamxeverywhere 12/27/10 . chapter 23Oh. Wow. |
Moonstarer 8/26/10 . chapter 23Bravo, excellent story. |
moms5thchild 8/25/10 . chapter 23So, Tritter is now consigned to a death of his own creation. Somehow, no matter what happens with the man can we not do any more or any less that House and Rainie (they're almost real in this story). For a committed atheist House has gained the ability to forgive. Buddha, Christ, Gandhi, M L King were all real men who knew that good would ultimately survive. (Now I show my RC roots) If House attained the depth of soul to see past the pain, fear and vengeance embodied by Tritter to the human who needed compassion than he is so much better than me. Good story. Very deeply moving in the end. Bravo Mom |
oflymonddreams 8/24/10 . chapter 23Wow. This is an amazing story, a wonderful addition to the Contractverse. I have to go back and read it from the beginning now I know how it ends. Thank you for writing it. |
bowie95 8/24/10 . chapter 23I really enjoyed this story and your continuation or the Contractverse. Thank you for all of your hard work. |

TetraFish06 8/24/10 . chapter 23Excellent wrap-up! Thanks for sharing ;) |
Visitkarte 8/24/10 . chapter 23Gandhi got it right. You made my day. I love the diagnosis and the way House dealt with him. Thank you for this brilliant story. |
Brighid45 8/24/10 . chapter 23Brava. As hard as it was at times to see House and Rainie suffer, the triumph of this ending is worth it all. The quote by Gandhi at the end is excellent and completely in character for both House and Rainie. Though they're both scarred and beaten physically, their spirits are still bright and strong. Congratulations on writing one of the best House fics I've ever read. Magnificent work. You should be proud. |
PRCReview 8/24/10 . chapter 23Brilliant. Well thought out, realistic (even if you haven't really stayed true to the characters), an expansive vocabulary, near-perfect grammar; this is truly an epic story. |
TetraFish06 8/19/10 . chapter 22Oh good grief! Must you leave us hanging? Good chapter, by the way. |
