Oh, this is so heartbreakingly Susan. I adore Warren. I adore how he adores Susan and his willingness to stick up for her. I like how Susan is the "perfect woman" but there's always something lurking behind her that makes her seem...wilder. :D I also enjoy Susan's flashbacks to Narnia and the way Warren sees her as a princess...if only he knew she was a queen. I love your writing and thank you for sharing this piece.

I think this is the best Narnia ffic I've read. I love how you characterize Susan, and give meaning to the fact that she was left behind. I hate the way the Narnia books ended - with Susan being punished and forgotten for liking lipstick and nylons - and no one even caring. This is bittersweet and perfect.

Aw, I LOVE it! What a sweet, beautiful, moving story! Not only is it different from pretty much all the other post last battle fics I've read, but it also has such an over-all sweet theme to it.

I love how the banker stands up to his family and is going to marry her anyway, that was really nice. And I like how realstic you made the whole things sound.

The part where the grandmother says, “You love her because she likes diseased rodents?” made me laugh out loud for some reason (and not a little laugh, either, a loud snorting one in the middle of a quiet room...yikes...)

Which brings me to another thing I loved about this fic, the thing about the mice! How she remembers that they helped untie Aslan, and had hope and stuff, how sweet is that?! Adorable!

anyway, fantastic story, I don't know what else to say except that's it's borderline perfect and I wouldn't change a thing in it. keep up the good work

This was fantastic. I loved Susan's prayer at the end - it was absolutely perfect, her serene faith. I love that you've made her... different from the Susan in Narnia that we knew, and yet still her in so many ways. The mice - the mice! That part wrenched at my heart.

This is an excellent story! I loved the way you dealt with Susan's life after her family's death without making the story seem melodramatic. It's nice to think that Susan did get a happy ending like this. Thanks for writing!

I really liked this story. It shows Susan through the worlds' eyes and then through Warrens'. It was very well written, his explanation, and of course us understanding. I was so sad when they all died but Susan was left behind, and I think this takes that into account and gives Susan her chance.

It was really sweet how Warren stood up for her and how Susan didn't waver.

I really loved the part at the end when Susan is talking to Aslan, that was very beautifully written. It brought tears to my eyes.

Lovely! It's so nice to see a Susan strong and queenly after she lost her family, not filled with bitterness. Good on Warren for standing up to his snooty family, too!

Wow I have read both your Susan stories and I'm loving your take on her. There are so many post-LB Susan stories but your Susan stands out. I love the mouse episode in this story. You did really well with showing so much information in such a short piece, giving enough hints but leaving enough for deduction and imagination. I felt this is better than if you really had told the whole courtship outright. This was wonderfully done :)
