A very interesting view of Neville. One question, though: If this is set the night after the Unforgivable Curses were demonstrated in class, shouldn't he be referring to the teacher as "Moody"? Crouch's identity wasn't revealed until the end of the year.

I love it - i'm not sure it IS in character, but then, what are we actually told of Neville's character. Pretty much nothing apart from he's fat and thick. Well, so was Pettigrew and now he's Voldemort's right hand man! I like the leaving thier child for fame - does he really think that, or is it just anger that they're dead?

As always, I love the bit about Slytherins staying out the spotlight. actually, he curiously fits in with his thing on Draco I'm doing where his father's angry coz he wants him to get high marks so he'll be recruited, whereas Draco isn't really sure he wants be recruited as a DE...it's very much WIP i'm afraid.

Wow. Your Neville is absolutely fascinating...many people write him as he is portrayed in the first three books, but book four shows there's ALOT more going on with that kid. I like the rage you write him with. Wonderful.

Wow. This is a new look at Neville... I've never read a Neville POV before. Love the dark overtones. He's always portrayed as such a sweet clutz, it does make you wonder if he knows how others see him, and if he resents it. I'm increasingly interested in this character, coz, like you, I'm sure he's got some important part to play in canon. "The Boy Who Seemed to be a Squib" Coola! _ N

Really sad. Poor Neville. He seems so angry and a mixed up kid. Pls write a fic with him and Harry, discussing their parents and pasts. As far as I know they had a hard life. I know that Neville's terrifed of his grandmother. Harry was abused for 10 yrs and more. He grew up not knowing how important he was, plus he didn't know that he was a wizard, until he got his letter from Hogwarts.

Wow, I feel sorry for Neville now! He deserves to have some fun and anger. It's too bad that his parents endd up like that in Mungoes. I had been crying at that part in the book. I hope he's a hero in the end!

This is really good. I always like reading Neville fics, but this was better then most other ones because it doesn't have him as some stupid, worthless person. PLEASE write another part to this!

Dogma is a brilliant movie! I love it! Oh and anyway this story was great, nice and angsty! I'm starting to get interested in Neville's life... although this is the first Neville fic I've read. It's very good - very well written.

i love this fic, mostly because there aren't enough of it's kind out there. i think that you've definitley got a good capture on not only what neville might be thinking, but solid and raw emotion as well. excellent job!

This is a very powerful piece. Not just for its style but for the very real and gripping content.

Oddly enough, Neville and Percy Weasley both have always fascinated me, although both have to this point been very underplayed by Rowlings. Also, whether together in slash stories or separately, I find them to be among the interesting characters in fanfiction.

A VERY interesting look at Neville... The story's very well-written and it's an interesting look at how he's reacted to his parents' situation (predicament or abandonment). There are two ways to go with his reaction- anger or anguish- and most people go for anguish, although anger's just as likely, when you think about it. It made for a very compelling read. This is certainly a darker Neville than one is used to reading. Was that intentional? And where does he go from here? I'll definitely be keeping my eye on your writing. :-)
