Well, this was a creepy fic! Poor John, ravaged physically and mentally by the machine, stubbornly fighting as much as he could regardless of the pain. Worst of all was the things the machine said, the decisions it questioned and the accusations it made. Some of those decisions really were questionable, but I think Rodney hit the nail on the head- it's not about the decisions, it's about the reason behind them.

I'm glad Rodney got John out of the interface and then, despite the awkwardness, got John out of his self-blaming cycle. I think the awkwardness actually highlighted the feeling behind Rodney's words and made it easier for John to accept as truth instead of platitudes.

You were right - Shep whump at its darkest, but what an amazing story line and McKay was the superhero conquering all to save his best friend. Awesome!

Wow, terrific story! I loved the Poe referentes! I also like the aftereffects of the interface with the chair, even if it was because of the other interface. I’ve always thought that chair-related problems would make good fic fodder ;) The computer-creep was, well, creepy! Kept picturing the girl from The Ring, eek! I loved McKay in this one (he’s such a fun character), you have his mannerisms down pat.
I’m quite new to SGA fanfiction, even though I fell in love with the show back in 2004. I’ve been reading fics for about a month, mostly Shep fics (because that guy is seriously yummy!) and mostly your fics, or the ones you’ve marked as favourites. This is the first story I’ve dared review, though, because I’m not a native English speaker, and I’m quite shy at posting reviews ;)
So kudos, and thanks for the hours of entertainment!
