Gwachaedir 2002-08-31 . chapter 4Interesting, I like the AU slant on this story, especially on Xander. The interaction between the characters is wonderful. Please update soon, I need to know what happens next. |
Drednax 2002-07-19 . chapter 4You have just got to love the interaction you have between the characters in this fic. It almost feels like I'm watching one of those old gum-shoe movies, back when I was younger. Truly great story. |
Drednax 2002-07-11 . chapter 3 Damn, no new chapter. Ah well, reading the entire story again wasn't too bad anyway. I love anything you write, and this story in particular. Hope for a continuation soon. |
Furious George 2002-04-27 . chapter 3Very good so far, Godeater.
I'm loving the concept of a tough talking Bogart-esque gum-shoe Xander wandering around a bleak film-noir (with a Joss Whedon twist of course) world searching for his Malteese Falcon. Billie Wilder would have been impressed. Can't wait for chapter four.

Scott 2002-04-14 . chapter 3 Wow, awesome story. I love the narritive you've used for pushing the story along. Not only is it very entertaining, it seems very professional. You've included the additional detail I'd normally expect to find in published material. Really great writing, and I can't wait to see more of this. Just... wow! (Loved the shoe thing by the way) |
 Amelia 2002-03-28 . chapter 3 More please!! |
Jane McCartney 2002-03-28 . chapter 3I'm so loving this... You've a very unique kind of writing. I love noir pictures, the last thing I saw was 'O Homem Que Não Estava Lá', I think you call it 'The Man Who Wasn't There' - it's a Coen's noir. Your AU's quite interesting. Can't wait to see what'll happen. Loved the way you introduced the Summers. And the others? Willow, Spike? Anya? Will they be here, too? And the Fang Gang? |
JimboS 2002-03-28 . chapter 3I love this story. The jaded private eye is one of the most interesting archetypal characters around. I read this earlier and thought it was dead, but I am extremely happy to know it is alive and spectacular. |
DaBear 2002-03-28 . chapter 3This is a great story - can't believe I have missed it up until now. Can't wait to see upcoming chapters |
Varthan 2002-03-28 . chapter 3 You do a great job of seamlessly interweaving our favorite Buffy characters into a good detective yarn. Post soon. |
Wicked Raygun 2002-03-28 . chapter 3Ah, what film noir would be complete without the attractive waitress in a diner scene. I'm loving how you're adapting the genre and giving it a nice Buffy spin. It actually reminds me off a movie I saw on HBO once. It was also film noir, only with a magic twist. It wasn't quite as well done as this, though. Although, I must give them props for having the studio heads conjur up Shakespeare from the past so he'll write scripts for them. By the end of the movie Shakespeare had groupies and was talking on cell phones.
I seem to have gotten a bit off track here. Sorry. Anyways, I really enjoy the atmosphere of this story, it's a wonderful change of pace. Here's to hoping you keep writing it. |
Jane McCartney 2002-02-26 . chapter 2Did you just abandoned this project? Oh, don't you dare! Would it make a difference if I say I was in love with it? |
Jacob M. Bosch 2002-01-13 . chapter 2I love it! Xander's voice is wonderfully expressive, and surprisingly close to his canon characterization. I look forward to more. |
AMelia 2002-01-12 . chapter 2 Fantastic story!! I luv xander :) Next chapter please! |
Alekenisis 2002-01-12 . chapter 2 This is a very nice start, i'm incredibly impressed by the mood you've set in this story so far - and Xander makes an excellent Humphrey Bogart! :)
Keep it up, it's looking superb. |
