Excuse me, I think I got teary-eyed from that final paragraph/sentence. That just made me realise, though I had a rather basic idea, that Ike really did help open up the way with not just the Beorc-Laguz parts, it's also with the Branded and how he's affected so many peple to come to notice a sense of...reassurance with themselves? Okay, Stefan, not really, but Soren is a real canidate as is Micaiah, even if not everyone really likes her.

Back to the song which originally started my ramble (wow, I can blather can't I? XD; )I'm currently listening to a music group called "Red" and the song is called "Never Be The Same" which, the whole group has so many Ike-Soren related songs, it makes my heart warm up. 3 Specfically, it's the chorus bit of that song that always reminds me of these two.

I think I caught a small error somewhere, I think it was meant to be a "He'd" not just "He" but, I can't remember where I saw it exactly in the story. ._.;

I really like ur story!, unlike the other ones i've read with the same plot line, this one shows...umm...more affection?...yeah, it's more emotional then the other ones i've read and i really enjoyed it!

I actually found the original conversations a bit ... dull? At least they didn't touch me as they should have. But you've turned them into such a beautiful story! One really feels with Soren and his feelings building up and the the final relief! It's awesome. Your portrayal of Ike as well - it's very subtle, he's not a very expressive guy but he HAS a character and you capture it so well.
