This was a very good story. I think you did a good job wtih Ukifune and with how she was effected by the Shikon no Tama. I do wonder though, why she spoke with Inuyasha, she seemed to WANT him to know what was going on, and I wonder if it wasn't just the one side of her, but both sides, perhaps she wasn't enteirely corrupted.

I have to tell you that this is one of the best Inuyasha fan fictions I've had the opportunity to read. It was perfectly mysterious, sometimes creepy, exciting, and kept my nose glued to my computer from start to finish. You kept all the characters "in character," but also made them your own, so their actions didn't seem contrived, but natural. You definitly have a gift for story-telling. _

Wow. O.o Very, very impressive. The plot was intriguing and extremely well-organized, but I have to admit it was your style that kept me reading. You had the perfect balance of dialogue and narrative and it was sugoi! *gonna go check out your other fics now...* Keep writing forever 'n ever!

Finished! What a wonderful fic that was... I enjoyed the comparison between the two parts of Ukifune and Kagome/Kikyo. Well written, very contemplative.

And of course I enjoyed the fluff, both between Inuyasha and Kagome and the earlier stuff with Miroku and Sango.

OOh, I really liked this chapter because it confirmed my suspician that the two spirits where from one person (I figured that's why you were talking about the ara-mitama and nigi-mitama in the beginning of the first chapter).

I also enjoyed how, even though Inuyasha isn't much for the spiritual aspects of a battle he was still able to figure out Ukifune's situation and was able to stay alert and on his toes during the dream. He really can be a smart guy when he puts his mind to it...

I really love all the research you did to put a real Japanese flavour to this story. I truly enjoy hearing things having to do with old Japanese culture.

So far I am really enjoying your story. It seems to be one of those really well written fanfiction stories that restores your faith in the community.

I enjoy your characters Kagan and Yanagi... they make me think of what Inuyasha and Kagome will probably be like in about 30 years. _

The little bit about "The Tale of Genji" in the authors notes at the end were fascinating. I ran into some paintings depicting this story when I was doing some research for a design project... but I had no idea that it was the first novel ever written. And by a woman no less. *grins* Ya learn something new everyday.

Your ghost was eerie, your characters startlingly true to the series, your romances tender and unburdened with too much angst, and your prose was meltingly beautiful. Could it get any better?

A good fic, although I'm not so sure about the whole kagome/kikyou deal. Oh well, it's so easy to hate one character and like another, regardless of their connection... anyway, great story.

Great job! Glad they kissed! This story was a bit confusing, but it goes along well with the "Kami" character in "Of this World and Yesterday" I'll go read your other stories when I have time... Keep writing!
